¡Hola amigos! Hoy me pasó por acá para traerles la reseña de una película que quería ver desde que se estrenó, pero por algún motivo la fui posponiendo hasta que me decidí a verla. Les estoy hablando de la comedia romántica Con todos menos contigo.

Hello friends! Today I stopped by to bring you the review of a movie that I wanted to see since it was released, but for some reason I kept postponing it until I decided to watch it. I'm talking about the romantic comedy Anyone But You.

Trama - Plot

Bea y Ben se ven por primera vez en una cafetería y ahí tienen un flechazo que los hace pasar todo el día juntos, logran conectar pero un malentendido, y los propios miedos de cada uno, hace que se terminen detestando. Un tiempo después se vuelven a encontrar porque la hermana de Bea se va a casar con la hermana del mejor amigo de Ben. Así que un viaje a Australia para celebrar la boda los hará ponerse de acuerdo para comportarse y no arruinarle el momento feliz a la pareja, al mismo tiempo que fingen tener una relación por conveniencia.

Bea and Ben meet for the first time in a coffee shop and there they have a crush that makes them spend the whole day together, they manage to connect but a misunderstanding, and the own fears of each one, makes them end up detesting each other. Some time later they meet again because Bea's sister is getting married to Ben's best friend's sister. So a trip to Australia to celebrate the wedding will make them agree to behave and not ruin the couple's happy moment, while pretending to have a relationship of convenience.

La trama es la típica de este tipo de películas donde ellos se detestan, pero algo pasa que los obliga a pasar tiempo juntos haciendo que su odio salga a flote y algo más también. No hay nada nuevo acá, pero cumple su cometido de entretener y ser divertida.

The plot is typical of this kind of movies where they hate each other, but something happens that forces them to spend time together making their hatred come out and something else as well. There's nothing new here, but it does its job of entertaining and being fun.

Escuché y leí todo tipo de opiniones sobre esta película y de la poca química que tiene la pareja central, en lo personal sentí que sí tuvieron una conexión o al menos se veían bien juntos. Me gustó la pareja, creo que lograron transmitir lo que hacia falta. No tengo nada que reprocharles de este lado.

I heard and read all kinds of opinions about this movie and the lack of chemistry between the central couple, personally I felt that they did have a connection or at least they looked good together. I liked the couple, I think they managed to convey what was needed. I have nothing to reproach them on this side.

La historia si bien no aporta nada nuevo me gustó bastante, me pareció relajante. Nos habla muy por arriba de seguir nuestro camino y tomar las riendas de nuestra vida, ya que somos los dueños de ella y nadie debería elegir por nosotros, por más que esto los disguste. Creo que también habla de las segundas oportunidades y de que a veces el miedo puede hacernos perder algo valioso que podríamos tener si damos ese salto de fe. Me encanta rescatar estos mensajes.

The story, although it doesn't add anything new, I liked it a lot, I found it relaxing. It talks about following our path and taking the reins of our life, since we are the owners of it and no one should choose for us, no matter how much we dislike it. I think it also speaks of second chances and that sometimes fear can make us lose something valuable that we could have if we take that leap of faith. I love to rescue these messages.

La verdad es que me divertí mucho viendo esta película, así que tengan por seguro que comedia hay. Las situaciones eran un tanto hilarantes y muchas veces tenían que ver con ellos dos quedándose sin ropa, pero bueno, es el tipo de cosas que venden ahora jajaja. La parte romántica me gustó también, estuvo linda y acordé a la trama. Al actor masculino le queda bien este tipo de papel, así que se lució mejor que la actriz. Aunque le doy un voto de confianza a ella porque leí cada cosa sobre su papel en la película, que era fría y sin expresión, pero a mí me encantó su personaje. Una vez más se demuestra que todo en la vida es subjetivo.

I actually had a lot of fun watching this movie, so rest assured there is comedy in it. The situations were kind of hilarious and many times had to do with the two of them running out of clothes, but hey, that's the kind of stuff they sell now hahaha. I liked the romantic part too, it was cute and I agreed with the plot. The male actor looks good in this kind of role, so he looked better than the actress. Although I give her a vote of confidence because I read every single thing about her role in the movie, that she was cold and expressionless, but I loved her character. Once again it proves that everything in life is subjective.

En definitiva, se las recomiendo si les gustan este tipo de películas, creo que tiene el equilibrio justo entre comedia y romance, no es empalagosa y es bastante ocurrente por algunos momentos. Es ligera e ideal para ver cuando querés desconectar un rato y ver algo absurdo que te evite pensar demasiado. Le doy el pulgar hacía arriba.

In short, I recommend it if you like this kind of movies, I think it has the right balance between comedy and romance, it is not cloying and it is quite witty at times. It's light and ideal to watch when you want to disconnect for a while and watch something absurd to avoid thinking too much. I give it a thumbs up.
