Orgullo y Prejuicio: Opinión [ESP-ENG]

Debo confesar que me encanta este género de películas de épocas. Donde las mujeres visten con grandes vestidos, la caballerosidad y la elegancia se ven a flor de piel, pero también las costumbres y tradiciones son muy arraigadas.

Orgullo y Prejuicio, es una de esas películas románticas que ví a medias hace mucho, pero quise volver a verla y completar la trama. Cinco hermanas de apellido de apellido Bennet viven con su padre, un hombre Viejo y su madre, una mujer que solo piensa en casarlas, porque las tradiciones y el Prejuicio de la sociedad así lo indica, ya que si no lo hacen, pueden perder su casa y heredad, al ser solo mujeres sus hijas y no tener un hijo o yerno que los represente. Sin embargo la opción de la madre dejará como desesperadas a sus hijas en algunas ocasiones y en otra, hará que una de ellas cometa un grave error, el cual afectará a toda la familia y otra la salvará de cometer uno.

I must confess that I love this genre of period films. Where women are dressed in big dresses, chivalry and elegance are at the forefront, but also the customs and traditions are very deep-rooted.

Pride and Prejudice is one of those romantic films that I saw halfway through a long time ago, but I wanted to see it again and complete the plot. Five sisters with the surname Bennet live with their father, an old man, and their mother, a woman who only thinks of marrying them, because the traditions and the Prejudice of the society indicate it, because if they don't, they can lose their house and inheritance, as their daughters are only women and don't have a son or son-in-law to represent them. However, the mother's choice will leave her daughters in despair on some occasions and on others, it will cause one of them to make a serious mistake, which will affect the whole family and another will save her from committing one.

Cabe descartar que está película es como una poesía, el romance está presente siempre, pero sinceramente yo detestaria tener una madre como la de las Hermanas Bennet y por eso, amé el papel de "Lizzie" Bennet, interpretada por Keira Knightley, quien parece ser una de las pocas personas de la familia pensante y digamos que con orgullo jajaja. Ella espera mucho más que un simple hombre para que le dé valor, porque ella cree firmemente tenerlo sin que nadie se lo dé y mucho menos piensa en casarse sin amor y sin poder cumplir sus expectativas al conseguir una persona que la ayude a lograr sus perspectiva, más que solo ser una ama de casa como la sociedad lo ordena.

Las fiestas, el cortejo, los malos entendidos y las humillaciones de quienes se creen en la posición de hacerlas por tener mejor estatus social y más dinero, no van a faltar en esta película. Pero el amor podrá ser más fuerte que el Orgullo y el Prejuicio de algunos. Incluso el elegante señor Darcy, interpretado por Matthew Macfadyen, dejará todo eso a un lado, cuando en su posición es muy difícil hacerlo.

It should be noted that this film is like poetry, the romance is always present, but honestly I would hate to have a mother like the Bennet Sisters and for that, I loved the role of "Lizzie" Bennet, played by Keira Knightley, who seems to be one of the few people in the family thinking and let's say with pride hahaha. She expects much more than just a man to give her courage, because she firmly believes she has it without anyone else giving it to her, let alone thinking about marrying without love and not being able to fulfil her expectations by getting a person to help her achieve her perspective, rather than just being a housewife as society mandates.

The parties, the courtship, the misunderstandings and the humiliations of those who think they are in a position to do so because they have a better social status and more money, will not be lacking in this film. But love may be stronger than the Pride and Prejudice of some. Even the dashing Mr. Darcy, played by Matthew Macfadyen, will put all that aside, when in his position it is very difficult to do so.

El final, muy lindo, muy esperado. Ver a Darcy caminar entre la fría neblina todo sexy con su camisa medio desabotonada, pero muy malo también, pues considero que debieron alargar un poco más la trama dando un final mas contundente entre las hermanas mayores y sus deseos, donde la sociedad y quienes las humillaron tuvieran que pararse frente a ellas y reconocerlas como iguales. Pero no, en Orgullo y Prejuicio, no nos dieron ese gusto jajaja.

Creo que me identifico mucho con Lizzie, ya que si yo hubiera vivido en una época así, sería como ella jajaja, esa chica rebelde, que no se calla ante los que creen poder juzgar y humillar a otros, la que se ilustra y responde con educación, firmeza, pero también con claridad sobre lo que quiere en vida y eso es justo lo contrario a lo que muchos quieren. Y lo mejor de todo en esta película es que Lizzie cuenta con el apoyo de alguien muy importante y no es una mujer precisamente.

Seeing Darcy walking in the cold fog all sexy with his shirt half unbuttoned, but also very bad, because I think they should have extended the plot a little more giving a stronger ending between the older sisters and their desires, where society and those who humiliated them had to stand in front of them and recognize them as equals. But no, in Pride and Prejudice, we didn't get that taste hahaha.

I think I identify a lot with Lizzie, because if I had lived in a time like that, I would be like her hahaha, that rebellious girl, who doesn't shut up in front of those who think they can judge and humiliate others, the one who is enlightened and responds with education, firmness, but also with clarity about what she wants in life and that is just the opposite of what many want. And the best of all in this film is that Lizzie has the support of someone very important and it is not a woman.
