Anne Hathaway, definitivamente es nuestra chica de la moda. Y en esta ocasión interpreta a Jules, una hermosa joven, talentosa, comprometida y además apasionada por su ver su sueño alcanzar el éxito, pero siempre dando lo mejor de ella y esto la llevará a dar siempre más, más tiempo, más esmero, más reuniones, más supervisión.

Su empresa y aún cuando está película salió en el 2015, tiene mucho que ver con la actualidad, en especial después de vivir una pandemia en el 2020, donde lo virtual se hizo más popular y muchas empresas colocaron este método de venta en práctica. Así hizo Jules, vendía ropa por internet y aunque fuera así, esto le demandaba tiempo, mucho tiempo.

And this time she plays Jules, a beautiful young woman, talented, committed and also passionate about seeing her dream reach success, but always giving her best and this will lead her to always give more, more time, more dedication, more meetings, more supervision.

Her company and even though this film came out in 2015, it has a lot to do with today, especially after living a pandemic in 2020, where the virtual became more popular and many companies put this method of selling into practice. This is what Jules did, she sold clothes online and even if she did, it demanded time, a lot of time.

En esta película también trabaja el gran Robert De Niro, quien es Ben, un vídeo mayor de 70 años, que solo quiere seguir sintiéndose útil en la vida y vaya que no le ha tocado nada fácil estando solo, pero no se da por vencido y siempre busca la forma de ocupar su mente y su cuerpo, programando actividades, sin darse por vencido. Él me recuerda bastante a mi papá, quien a sus 75 años siendo haciéndose sentir útil.

Está película la conocí con el nombre de "Pasante de Moda" sin embargo su traducción es "El Becario" o "El Interno" y es que a Ben, quien ya es jubilado, se le presenta la oportunidad de su vida, bueno, ya es mayor, pero la oportunidad que tanto esperaba para demostrar que sigue siendo útil y aunque las cosas al inicio no van como espera y con la emoción que lo veía venir, logra salir adelante.

This film also stars the great Robert De Niro, as Ben, a 70 year old video, who just wants to keep feeling useful in life and he has not had an easy time being alone, but he doesn't give up and is always looking for ways to occupy his mind and body, scheduling activities, without giving up. He reminds me a lot of my dad, who at 75 years old is still making himself useful.

I knew this film under the name of "Pasante de Moda" but its translation is "El Becario" or "El Intern". Ben, who is already retired, is presented with the opportunity of a lifetime, well, he is already old, but the opportunity he was waiting for so long to show that he is still useful and although things don't go as expected at first and with the excitement he saw coming, he manages to get ahead.

Definitivamente creo que hay muchas cosas de "antes" que no pasan de moda y no me refiero solo a la ropa, Ben en esta película nos lo deja claro. Ser mayor o un anciano no es sinónimo de no servir. La caballerosidad, el respeto, la fidelidad y buenos príncipes, nunca van a pasar de moda y por favor, tampoco el vestir galante y llevar un pañuelo, nunca sabrán si alguna dama lo necesite.

A mí realmente me gustó mucho esta película, comencé a llorar desde que Ben inició hablando, mientras grababa aquel vídeo que lo llevaría a estar cerca de Jules. Pasan muchas cosas que para algunos son predecible, pero realmente muestra una realidad, muestra que si, debemos cumplir nuestros sueños sin importar la edad que tengamos, pero algunos sacrificios no son del todo necesarios, hay cosas que no se recuperan como el tiempo.

En mi caso, no me gustó mucho el final, siento que la película llega como a un clímax y le falta desarrollo justo en esta parte final y crucial y creo que si yo fuera Jules, no podría simplemente olvidar y continuar. El hecho de ser perfeccionista, una mujer exitosa y además alguien con tanta entrega, no debió llevarla a simplemente aceptar lo que sucede al finalizar, si no más bien demandar el mismo compromiso, es difícil recuperar la confianza perdida, y más aún siendo alguien como lo era ella.

Aún cuando el final no fue de mi agrado, El Becario es una linda película, que seguro te hará llorar y también te dejará varias enseñanzas, como el hecho de no culparnos, por los errores que comentan los demás, ya que cada uno decide que tan íntegro desea ser y que nadie es mejor que tú, para cuidar lo que tanto amas.

I definitely believe that there are many things from "back in the day" that don't go out of fashion and I don't just mean clothes, Ben in this film makes it clear. Being old or an old man is not synonymous with not serving. Chivalry, respect, fidelity and good princes, will never go out of fashion and please, neither will dressing gallantly and wearing a handkerchief, you will never know if any lady needs it.

I really liked this movie, I started to cry when Ben started talking, while he was recording that video that would take him to be close to Jules. A lot of things happen that for some people are predictable, but it really shows a reality, it shows that yes, we should fulfil our dreams no matter how old we are, but some sacrifices are not entirely necessary, there are things that you can't get back like time.

In my case, I didn't like the ending very much, I feel that the film comes to a climax and lacks development just in this final and crucial part and I think that if I were Jules, I couldn't just forget and move on. Being a perfectionist, a successful woman and also someone with so much commitment, should not have led her to simply accept what happens at the end, but rather demand the same commitment, it is difficult to regain lost trust, and even more so being someone like she was.

Even though the ending was not to my liking, The Scholar is a beautiful film, which will surely make you cry and will also leave you several lessons, such as the fact of not blaming ourselves for the mistakes made by others, since everyone decides how integral they want to be and that no one is better than you, to take care of what you love so much.
