Last Straw ~ Movie Review

I remember I promised you all to always give you all amazing movies review that will keep you all glued to your screen, well, pardon me for being away for these few months, i didn't have time to watch movies and really didn't get a glimpse of movies that peeked my interest.

Well, I am back and better, we are on holiday although not a long one but I think I will be reviving my movie passion, so I can be giving you all beautiful movie reviews you can try on during the weekends, although we are agreed that I will be concentrating on mostly Nollywood movies so that it can be beneficial to everyone one in this platform who is interested and would love to try out any Nollywood/Nigeria movies.

Now, before I dive into the movie, I gotta tell you all that I almost flew into the movie to spank the both parties that were making the life of one man miserable. Well, I know that we mostly see the reverse of this movie, so it felt foreign seeing the unusual. Sine we all preach gender equality, so I would be biased to not speak up all because the person meting the punishment is my gender and the person being made miserable is the opposite gender.

I mean, at a point, I felt like flying into the movie to drag the hairs of both women who is making someone's else's child miserable all because he is from a low and poor background that is beneath them. Well, he did have someone who should have stood up for him but the one person who should have done that, took him for granted.

Last Straw is a new Nigeria movie, Comedy, Drama, Romance Movie and features talented actor and actress like Timini Egbuson, Shaffy Bello and Bimbo Ademoye among others and released by the beauty goddess in the
Nigeria Industry Bimbo Ademoye on her YouTube channel.

Last Straw is about a young man who marries a lady who is from the wealthiest family and obviously not in his class and for one year of their marriage, her mother kept dictating how their home should run and looking down om this young man. Morenike's mom always and constantly look for reasons to belittle her daughter's husband not just when they are alone, even in front of her clients and friends making it look like her daughter's husband had no job other than to eat from what her daughter work her ass out to bring back home monthly.

Not for a day did Morenike confront her mom about the way she spoke to her husband or that she didn't like the way hee mother treated her husband. Even when her husband would beg her to stand up for him when her mom start alluring insults at him, but she wouldn't, she can't.

One day, Morenike's husband snaps and confront his mother-in-law for her constant harassment, insulting and bad mouthing she often throws at him and went ahead to let the wife know that she was always on the side of her mother and how she even went as far as changing their wedding band both exchanged on their wedding day because her mother said that the one her husband bought for her was too cheap and below their class.

Things got worse and Morenike's husband decided to break out of the marriage but this lead them to discovering a lot about her mother's past as both couples are confuse and are fighting to stay together and strong.

This movie is a must watch for everyone, for me, I don't know if I would have taken such insolent or even allowed someone else bear such, because I know for a fact that I would have snapped and let the bully know she couldn't talk to me that way. Morenike's mother was a bully and people like that need someone who isn't afraid of them and can put them in their place. totally loved everything about the movie, I'll give it a rating of 8/10 and I'll recommend it to anyone to check it out.
