RE: (ENG/SPA) Charles Xavier The Diplomat

You are viewing a single comment's thread:

I saw X-Men as a child and I probably did not grasp some of the lessons in there but now I do. According to you, manipulation should be embraced if used for a good cause, as your diplomat does in this movie.

This is something I could think over and over again, but what if something goes wrong, would we still stand with your diplomat?

I know you already said some of his decisions have loop holes but what if it was real life, would you still take his side?

It is that when you want a person to think, to make a decision about what you think is right, in a way you manipulate their thinking because you mold them to see things the way you think is right. We as spectators are the ones who determine if his purpose is noble and indeed it is so, he seeks peace and seeing his actions many agree with his way of acting

There is a part in the first where Xavier and Magneto argue and Xavier tells him that the human being has evolved and Magneto quickly tells him with forcefulness that they have evolved in them, the mutants. This is a moment of ideological conflict in which Xavier wants to convince Magneto and uses words, he manipulates him but Magneto does not fall, the helmet protects him from Xavier's psychic powers and his mind protects him from bowing to what Charles wants

Ok there are parts where I don't support him, in the first one yes but in the second one no, Striker is going to eradicate them all and Charles is still looking for peace, in that one I am definitely with Magneto in part, Striker must be eliminated, there is no possible dialogue with him, now I don't agree with Magneto to eliminate all humans, in the conflict of the second one as a viewer I don't agree with both but Magneto is partly right only that he gives himself to the dark side

I don't like Xavier's at all because he represents bureaucracy, the slow way of doing things, I would lean more towards Magneto who executes, does what has to be done but exaggerates, I would make my decision that I would definitely not follow either one of them.

That's why we love these characters because it's not just powers, it's political philosophy 😃/

Wow. A full post for me.. I appreciate that.

And I agree, Striker Must be eliminated because if they don't, he might come back later to crush them.. so it's better to crush an enemy before he has the time to recover from whatever he is feeling and returns to crush us..

We love cinema and this character have a lot to us to arg

and he will do it again and again, he never surrender, Striker power is hes conviction, one of the greatest Villain very well represented in super heroes movies. The way he torture the girl, Lady DeathStrike that have the same power of wolverine, for me see that was too much

Yes, i think that, enemys like striker that want to erradicate a part of the humanity and can do it must be crushed, the power of love cannot do anything unfortunatelly
