Heretic - They just want to talk about their faith, but...

Heretic, is a psychological horror movie, which was released in November 2024, has some wonderful actors, I loved seeing the legendary actor Hugh Grant playing a role very different from what we remembered when he was young, it is notorious the talent he has as he did it in my opinion excellent. Also starting the movie I saw a girl that I said “I've seen her somewhere” of course in a series that I love madly and that is Sophie Thatcher, a super talented young woman who also has an important role in the series Yellowjackets.

I also saw an actress I didn't know called Chloe East, she has made some productions that I haven't seen, in this opportunity I liked her work. It's a very disturbing movie, I'm a big fan of this kind of series so I enjoyed it a lot.

I will tell you a little bit about the movie and I will try not to give you spoilers, but if you have the opportunity to see it, do it. There are 2 girls who have a religion that I think many of us know, we have ever come across them, it is the Mormons. Sister Barnes and Sister Paxto (that's how they usually call each other), are assigned a mission by their superiors of the church and they have among their rules the duty to preach to people and visit them (this assuming my little knowledge about this religion based on what I understood from the movie).

It is then that she after a little random conversation decide to go to a house that is quite retired, take their bikes and begin to roll into the woods, it is there that they knock on a door of a rather gloomy and dark house that no doubt anyone would say the same thing, but we know that the plots of the movies are always go where it is darker and more dangerous, never detect the bad.

The case is that in this house lives a man who hides a dark secret, he has some very strange ideals and the need to show that religions are all made to control people, he does strange things in this house, he has a very scary goal, how to control people and make them do what he wants. There are many things that happen, this man Reed, he uses psychological terror with these girls who just wanted to have a conversation with him about his religion. From here on they start to realize that they are in imminent danger and he can't leave that house.

Well, what I can criticize about this movie is that the truth is that I would never go to a stranger's house in a forest, alone and away from everything, I know that this is also made for the plot, but it seems to me a total danger that these religions have as an objective this kind of practices, although I know that they also have protocols to follow to protect their safety, but we know that sometimes there are people who do not even notice the evil.

I feel that the film had me focused on it all the plot, I did not take off or distracted at any time, of course it is not the super movie that you say go the best I've seen but it is quite interesting and entertaining, the aspects that this person touches the actor Hugh Grant are very interesting to hear and get your own analysis. It is a movie that I do not recommend much for children has a little violence. I liked it so I would give it a score of 7/10. Happy weekend Movies and tv show friends!
