I JUST FINISHED THE WALKING DEAD (ESP/ENG)
Realmente hay mucho que decir de una serie que tiene 11 temporadas, pero trataré de ser lo más puntual posible para no saturarlos de información.
Como seguramente ya saben (vuelvo y repito, este post está lleno de SPOILERS así que solo es para aquellos que ya vieron la serie en su totalidad) esta serie esta enfocada en el apocalipsis zombies (Aunque jamás los llaman de esa manera) Nos centramos en Rick quien despierta en un hospital y a penas se esta enterando de todo lo que sucede. Aún con todo y caminantes Rick va en busca de su familia y consigue ayuda en el camino.
Ahora vayamos al punto.
PERSONAJES:
Desde un principio me agrado, es un personaje que pasó por mucho y cada vez que pasaba algo tenía miedo ya que a los escritores les encanta terminar con la vida de cada personaje que se sabe que es favorito del público para hacernos sufrir mucho, y efectivamente eso fue lo que pasó, aún tengo traumas de ese capitulo en la temporada 7, fue una terrible y muy triste forma de empezar, y creo que no fui la única en pensar así ya que supe que varias personas no siguieron viendo la serie después de su muerte. Aún así, recordaré a Glenn por sus buenas escenas, esas en las que intentó ayudar a cada persona que podía, escenas en las que demostraba su cariño por Maggie y otros personajes, y esas escenas en la que nos mostró lo genial que puede ser un repartidor de pizzas.
Al principio este personaje no me convencía por completo, si había algo que sentía que la serie necesitaba era personajes femeninos fuertes y aún con la aparición de Maggie sentí que todavía eso no había llegado, sin embargo conforme la serie va avanzando el desarrollo de su personaje va mejorando cada vez más, al final, Maggie se convirtió en uno de mis personajes favoritos, es una mujer decidida, inteligente y que lo da todo por los que ama, primero pensé que su relación con Glenn no sería tan sería pero al final me terminó gustando bastante y tuvieron un hijo hermoso (lastima que glenn jamás lo conoció) por cierto, ¿ustedes le vieron barriga a Maggie? porque es la embarazada más delgada que he visto.
Este definitiva es uno de los desarrollos de personaje más grande que hay, Carol pasa de ser una mujer indefensa e incapaz de luchar a ser toda una guerrera. Me gustó mucho el lazo de amistad que creó con Daryl y su relación con el Rey Ezequiel, al principió me entristeció más la muerte de Henry que de su primera hija Sophia, pero, después entendí que en realidad Carol intentaba ser lo más fuerte posible por ella y por su hija a su manera, aguantando los maltratos de su esposo, ella intentaba persuadirlo y tratar todo el asunto con delicadeza ya que era el único camino que veía, cuando finalmente no tuvo a nadie que dependiera de ella fue cuando cambio completamente y es por eso que en algunas situaciones busca alejarse de todos.
Este personaje me sorprendió totalmente, al principio pensé que sería nada más el hermano menor y adulador de Merle Dixon, pero tardó en demostrar que no es así. Al terminar la serie me enteré de que este personaje ni siquiera existe en los comics sino que fue creado para el actor y de verdad a la persona que se le ocurrió esto GRACIAS. El tío Daryl es inteligente y a pesar de ser de pocas palabras tiene muy buen corazón, es uno de los personajes que más escenas conmovedoras tiene y a pesar de no tener muchas ganas de ser un líder asume esa responsabilidad cuando debe.
Desde la primera vez que vi a este personaje supe que tendría un gran futuro, no solo por ser el hijo del protagonista si no que algo en su forma de ser me lo decía, es un chico muy bondadoso y habilidoso, un gran guerrero pero al final del día también es un chico que sólo quiere tener una vida normal, vemos como Carl pasa por varias etapas conforme va creciendo hasta que llega un punto en el que está cansado de pelear y solo quiere que todos vivan en paz. El sueño de Carl al principio me parecía un poco irreal pero conforme avanza todo se va poco a poco haciendo realidad, aunque esa tranquilidad no dura mucho ya que siempre tiene que haber un problema que arruine la paz. En las últimas temporadas podría decir que estaba ya cerca de mi edad y casi me enamoro de él. Vi en redes que el actor aparece en una escena como extra, pero un extra bastante extra porque yo no logré verlo.
Desde el momento en que comencé a ver la serie esto era algo que me daba mucho en que pensar, a mi parecer (al principio) Rick era el protagonista de la serie ya que es el primer personaje que vemos, y es quien se convierte en el líder del grupo, sin embargo, conforme la historia avanza Daryl va tomando protagonismo y (a pesar de no quererlo) se convierte en el líder del grupo cuando es su turno (además de que en ese momento ya Rick no está). En conclusión la serie no solo tiene a un protagonista si no que este va cambiando en cada temporada. Aunque al final los dos se van 😭
Desde que esa niña nació me sentí muy mal por ella, no se sabe realmente quien es su padre (Aunque hay en un capitulo donde el mismo Rick dice que no es de él), su madre murió al darle a luz, su hermano murió intentando proteger a su pueblo y su padre desaparece durante años, además la mujer que la cría como su hija (Michonne) también suele desaparecer bastante, y por si fuera poco el tío Daryl también se va al final de la serie. Lo sé, todo esto esta bastante justificado, y a pesar de todo judith recibe mucho amor de quienes la rodean, además gracias a esta situaciones es que crece siendo más fuerte e inteligente que los otros niños de la serie, pero aún así me daba mucha tristeza ver esas escenas en las que aparecía llorando porque se sentía sola, sobre todo me hubiera gustado que tuviera la oportunidad de convivir más su hermano Carl. Cuando le disparan en la última temporada casi me da algo, no quería que la niña muriera pero cuando ya nos muestran que esta bien simplemente pensé ¨Bienvenida a la familia¨ ya que aparentemente para ser una Grimes debes recibir un tiro en algún momento de tu vida.
El romance entre Abraham y Sasha no lo entendí, salió muy de la nada. Negan con la Alpha me dejó ???, Rosita con Gabriel no me encantó, sé muy bien que su personaje tiene una evolución bastante grande pero aún así no me terminaba de convencer, me hubiera gustado más que rosita se quedara con Siddiq pero lamentablemente lo mató un infiltrado del grupo de los silenciosos.
No me gustó desde el primer momento en que lo vi, lo único que siempre me agradó de Negan fueron sus comentarios bien ocurrentes que le daban a la trama un poco de comedia. Nos muestran su historia desde antes de los caminantes aparecieran pero… Mi opinión sobre el no cambió, sigo pensando que es una mala persona, las cosas que le sucedieron no le dan derecho a nada ni tampoco lo justifica, la mayoría de los personajes pasaron por situaciones terribles y aún así no hicieron cosas malas como Negan y con intenciones tan crueles como las que él tenía, esperaba ansiosamente que su ¨Reinado¨ o ¨Mandato¨ terminara pero cuando leyeron la carta de Carl y nos mostraron lo que el quería supe que no iba a pasar pronto y que seguiría viendo a este personaje un buen rato… Negan hizo cosas buenas, es cierto, pero opino que las cosas malas que hizo pesan aún más. Al final la única razón por la que quería que viviera era para que su hijo tuviera un padre en su vida.
No, fin.
Bueno si, pero no. No era lo que yo esperaba, parecía un final de temporada más que el FINAL de la serie, después supe que The Walking Dead tiene como 500 spin off y entendí todo por completo. Me agradó el acuerdo en el que terminan Maggie y Negan pero… ¿es necesario que protagonicen una serie juntos? creo que si la veré por curiosidad, y solo tiene 6 capítulos pero no sé… No me encanta la idea de esos dos juntos. Judith no le quería decir a Daryl nada sobre Miichonne porque pensaba que si lo hacía él también se iría y efectivamente se fue… Por cierto, hay gente a la que gustaba carol con Daryl… A mi no, los prefiero como amigos y me hubiera gustado que Daryl al final quedara junto con connie. Lloré cuando rosita murió. Duré toda la última temporada esperando que Rick y Michonne aparecieran y solo me dieron par de escenas, fue como un tráiler para la serie que se estrena este año. No sé, a ese final le faltó algo.
Entiendo por qué fue una serie tan famosa en su momento, en definitiva la volvería a ver algún momento (Pero hasta la temporada 6) ya que es bastante entretenida e interesante, cada quien le da su toque personal a los zombies y aquí fue que no importa como mueras te vas a convertir y jamás imaginé que no haría falta una mordida para convertirte en caminante.

There really is a lot to say about a series that has 11 seasons, but I'll try to be as punctual as possible so as not to saturate you with information.
As you probably already know (I repeat, this post is full of SPOILERS so it's only for those who have seen the series in its entirety) this series is focused on the zombie apocalypse (although they never call them that) We focus on Rick who wakes up in a hospital and is just finding out what's going on. Even with everything and walkers Rick goes in search of his family and gets help along the way.
Now let's get to the point.
From the beginning I liked him, he is a character that went through a lot and every time something happened I was afraid because the writers love to end the life of every character that is known to be a favourite of the audience to make us suffer a lot, and indeed that's what happened, I still have traumas from that chapter in season 7, it was a terrible and very sad way to start, and I think I was not the only one to think so as I knew that several people did not continue watching the series after his death. Still, I'll remember Glenn for his good scenes, the ones where he tried to help every person he could, scenes where he showed his affection for Maggie and other characters, and those scenes where he showed us how great a pizza delivery guy can be.
At first I wasn't completely sold on this character, if there was one thing I felt the show needed it was strong female characters and even with Maggie's appearance I felt like that still hadn't arrived, however as the show progresses her character development gets better and better by the end, Maggie became one of my favourite characters, she is a determined, intelligent woman who gives her all for those she loves, at first I thought her relationship with Glenn wouldn't be that great but in the end I ended up liking her a lot and they had a beautiful son (too bad Glenn never met him) by the way, did you see Maggie's belly? because she's the thinnest pregnant woman I've ever seen.
This is definitely one of the greatest character developments there is, Carol goes from being a helpless woman unable to fight to being a warrior. I really liked the bond of friendship she created with Daryl and her relationship with King Ezekiel, at first I was more saddened by Henry's death than her first daughter Sophia's, but, then I understood that Carol was really trying to be as strong as possible for herself and her daughter in her own way, She tried to persuade him and deal with the whole thing delicately because it was the only way she could see, but when she finally had no one to depend on her, she changed completely and that's why in some situations she tries to get away from everyone.
This character totally surprised me, at first I thought he would be nothing more than Merle Dixon's younger brother and sycophant, but it took a while to show that he is not. At the end of the series I found out that this character doesn't even exist in the comics but was created for the actor and really to the person who came up with this THANK YOU. Uncle Daryl is intelligent and despite being of few words he has a very good heart, he is one of the characters that has the most touching scenes and despite not wanting to be a leader he takes on that responsibility when he has to.
From the first time I saw this character I knew he would have a great future, not only for being the son of the main character but something in his way of being told me so, he is a very kind and skilled boy, a great warrior but at the end of the day he is also a boy who just wants to have a normal life, we see how Carl goes through several stages as he grows up until he reaches a point where he is tired of fighting and just wants everyone to live in peace. Carl's dream at first seemed a bit unrealistic to me but as he progresses everything slowly becomes a reality, although that peace of mind doesn't last long as there always has to be a problem that ruins the peace. In the last seasons I could say that he was close to my age and I almost fell in love with him. I saw on networks that the actor appears in a scene as an extra, but a very extra extra because I didn't get to see him.
From the moment I started watching the series this was something that gave me a lot to think about, in my opinion (at the beginning) Rick was the protagonist of the series as he is the first character we see, and he is the one who becomes the leader of the group, however, as the story progresses Daryl takes the lead and (despite not wanting it) becomes the leader of the group when it is his turn (plus at that time Rick is no longer there). In conclusion, the series not only has a protagonist, but one who changes with each season. Although in the end they both leave 😭.
Since that little girl was born I felt very bad for her, we don't really know who her father is (although there is a chapter where Rick himself says it's not his), her mother died giving birth to her, her brother died trying to protect his people and her father disappears for years, plus the woman who raises her as his daughter (Michonne) also usually disappears quite a lot, and if that wasn't enough, uncle Daryl also leaves at the end of the series. I know, all this is quite justified, and in spite of everything Judith receives a lot of love from those around her, and thanks to these situations she grows up stronger and smarter than the other children in the series, but even so I was very sad to see those scenes in which she appeared crying because she felt alone, especially I would have liked her to have the opportunity to live more with her brother Carl. When she was shot in the last season I almost had something, I didn't want the girl to die but when we were shown that she was fine I just thought "Welcome to the family" because apparently to be a Grimes you have to be shot at some point in your life.
The romance between Abraham and Sasha I didn't understand, it came out of nowhere. Negan with the Alpha left me ???, Rosita with Gabriel I didn't love it, I know very well that his character has a pretty big evolution but still I wasn't convinced, I would have liked more that Rosita stayed with Siddiq but unfortunately he was killed by an infiltrator of the group of the silent ones.
I didn't like it from the first moment I saw it, the only thing I always liked about Negan was his witty comments that gave the plot a bit of comedy. We are shown his story from before the walkers appeared but.... My opinion about him didn't change, I still think he is a bad person, the things that happened to him don't give him the right to anything nor justify him, most of the characters went through terrible situations and still they didn't do bad things like Negan and with intentions as cruel as the ones he had, I was anxiously waiting for his "Reign" or "Mandate" to end but when they read Carl's letter and showed us what he wanted I knew it wasn't going to happen soon and that I would continue watching this character for a while... Negan did good things, it's true, but I think the bad things he did weigh even more. In the end the only reason I wanted him to live was so that his son would have a father in his life.
No, the end.
Well yes, but no. It wasn't what I expected, it seemed like a season finale rather than the END of the series, then I found out that The Walking Dead has like 500 spin offs and I understood everything completely. I liked the deal where Maggie and Negan end up but... is it necessary for them to star in a series together? I think I'll watch it out of curiosity, and it's only 6 episodes long but I don't know... I don't love the idea of those two together. Judith didn't want to tell Daryl anything about Miichonne because she thought if she did he would leave too and he did... By the way, some people liked carol with Daryl... I don't, I prefer them as friends and I would have liked Daryl to be together with connie in the end. I cried when rosita died. I lasted the whole last season waiting for Rick and Michonne to appear and they only gave me a couple of scenes, it was like a trailer for the series that premieres this year. I don't know, that finale was missing something.
I understand why it was such a famous series at the time, I would definitely watch it again sometime (But until season 6) as it is quite entertaining and interesting, everyone gives their own personal touch to the zombies and here it was that no matter how you die you are going to turn and I never imagined that it wouldn't take a bite to turn you into a walker.

This film is a very good and cool film. I've been following it from the start and the last season I watched it in, I forgot because I haven't watched the sequel for a long time. The last one was about Rick disappearing so that life there was no Rick anymore.
The story also gets more complicated. However, the character in the play that I like the most is of course Daryl. he's cool and great at dealing with zombies too.
I really like the zombie film genre, so of course I will watch the continuation of the TWD series soon.

Yo también amé The Walking Dead desde que salió, no me he perdido ni un solo capítulo y ciertamente amé los cambios que se hicieron con respecto al comic, sobre todo en lo que refiere a la evolución de Carol, mi favorito (Por cierto, yo sí soy de las que quería romance entre Daryl y Carol 😁 pero al menos me complacieron en el romance entre Rick y Michonne)
En cuanto a Negan es natural que pienses que sus acciones negativas pesen más, siempre será así, no importa cuan arrepentido estés de tus malas accionas, estas te perseguirán sin importar lo que hagas y la gente siempre te juzgará por ello, aún y cuando es obvio que él mismo se tortura a diario con lo que sucedió porque el arrepentimiento no es solo decir "estoy arrepentido" y ya, es sentir verdadero dolor por lo que has hecho. A mi me gustó mucho el giro que dio en este personaje y creo que sus matices estuvieron muy bien definidos tanto en la serie como en el comic, aunque en el comic es un poco más soez.
Volviendo al tema de los romances a mi también me sorprendió lo de Gabriel y Rosita, de hecho en el comic sucede todo muy diferente, ella muere en las picas cuando los tiempos de Alpha, y en cuanto a lo de Negan con esta última no fue ni siquiera un romance, sino un affair planeado por él para sacar provecho.
Daryl se robó el corazón de todos y me encanta que haya ganado protagonismo a pesar de que él no aparece en el comic y de hecho fue un personaje creado por Robert Kirkman exclusivamente para Norman Reedus para que estuviera en la serie porque le encantaba su trabajo.
Definitivamente esta serie es insuperable.
Del comic no sé mucho, el romance entre Michonne y Rick no sucede en los comics?
No me imagino a un Negan peor que el de la serie, que impresionante, y si, recuerdo que lo de él con Alpha fue algo del momento pero igual me pareció raro jajajj

En el comic Rick se empareja con Andrea, quien murió en la serie entre la tercera y cuarta temporada, en el comic vive muchísimo más, al igual que Sophia, la hija de Carol.
Yo todavía estoy esperando ver los últimos capítulos a ver si algún día los suben a Netflix incluso quería contratar AMC+, pero aquí en Venezuela habría que hacer magia porque está bloqueado para terminar de verla, con cuerdo contigo con algunos de los personajes, con otros no y si hay temporadas que se hicieron muy pesadas, pero pase mis buenas horas viéndola
Yo la vi completa en star+ pero solo la seria principal, no está ninguno de los spin off
Es una serie fabulosa, con una trama riquísima en contenido. No la he terminado aún, ando por la octava temporada, de hecho, hace tanto dejé de verla y he intentado comenzarla de nuevo en tantas ocasiones, que creo haber repetido la sesión 8 "n" veces jajaj. Me encantó desde el primer momento la construcción que dieron a los personajes, tiene sin dudas un excelente guión, por no hablar de la producción que lograron. No es mucho mi tipo de contenido gráfico a consumir, pero, lo bueno es bueno, indiscutiblemente.
