2. BEAUTY AND THE BEAST

In the prologue of the film we are told that a sorceress cursed the prince, turning him into the beast. To break the spell you must learn to love someone and earn their love before you turn 21. We later learn that the castle's inhabitants have suffered from the curse for 10 years and the beast's birthday deadline is approaching when Belle appears. That means the beast was cursed when the beast was 11 years old. However, Belle finds a torn portrait that shows the prince as an adult human. Also, who thinks of cursing a preteen for being a brat. In other words, the sorceress's curse is an exaggeration and the timeline does not fit.

Más adelante nos enteramos que los habitantes del castillo han sufrido la maldición durante 10 años y la fecha límite de cumpleaños de la bestia se acerca cuando bella aparece. Eso significa que la bestia fue maldecida cuando bestia tenía 11 años. Sin embargo Bella encuentra un retrato desgarrado que muestra al príncipe como un humano adulto.
