I znów klasycznie, znów czarno-biało, i znowu science fiction. W małym amerykańskim miasteczku rozpoczyna się inwazja kosmicznych zawodników na naszą planetę. Kilkoro mieszkańców, zorientowawszy się w sytuacji, podejmuje nierówną walkę z najeźdźcą...

Bardzo dobre widowisko, angażuje od pierwszych scen do samego końca. Bohaterowie, poszukując rozwiązania, nie mają pojęcia, komu mogą zaufać. W pewnym momencie ta atmosfera zaczyna udzielać się też widzom. Z tego wszystkiego zacząłem podejrzliwie spoglądać na rodzinę.

Oczywiście niektóre aspekty filmu zestarzały się i trącą myszką (to podejście do kobiet...) ale w żadnym jego momencie nie czułem chęci przedwczesnego zakończenia seansu.

Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956)

Another classic movie, again black and white, again science fiction. In a small American town, the invasion of space racers on our planet begins. Several residents, having realized the situation, undertake an unequal fight with the invaders…

A very good show, it engages from the first scenes to the very end. The protagonists, looking for a solution, have no idea who they can trust. At some point, this atmosphere begins to infect the audience as well. From all this, I began to look at my family with suspicion.

Of course, some aspects of the film have aged and are a bit of a drag (this approach to women...), but at no point did I feel the desire to end the screening prematurely.

Batman Zagłada Gotham (2023)

A gdyby tak połączyć znanego superherosa z mitologią stworzoną przez Lovecrafta? To pytanie musiało kiedyś zaświtać w głowie Mike'a Mignoli, który stworzył komiksowych pierwowzór zeszłorocznej animacji DC i Warnera. Pomysł był prosty - cofamy powstanie Batmana do początku XX wieku i stawiamy na jego drodze demony, kultystów i innych szaleńców. I to... zatrybiło! Mroczny, pełen grozy klimat, ciekawa intrygą i niespodziewane zakończenie sprawiają, że film ten ląduje wysoko w moim prywatnym rankingu.

Batman: The Doom That Came to Gotham (2023)

What if we combined a well-known superhero with the mythology created by Lovecraft? This question must have dawned on Mike Mignola, who created the comic book prototype for last year's DC and Warner animation. The idea was simple - we take Batman back to the beginning of the 20th century and put demons, cultists and other madmen on his way. And this... it worked! A dark, full of horror atmosphere, an interesting intrigue and an unexpected ending make this film land high in my private ranking.

O Jezu, co tu się dzieje? Yakuza dogaduje się z chińskimi gangsterami i dokonuje zamachu na znanego polityka. Amerykanie

o pomoc proszą doświadczonego byłego agenta, specjalistę od tego rodzaju spraw. I tu na scenę wkracza Steven Seagal. Cała postać "wykreowana" przez aktora się nie "klei", ciężko uwierzyć we wszytko, co wiemy o bohaterze. W międzyczasie poznajemy młodego pomagiera, który ma służyć jedynie za bezmyślne tło dla herosa i o połowę młodszą miłość naszego "mistrza". A później, jak to u Seagala, seria bezsensownych wydarzeń prowadzi do równie bezsensownego finału. Cieszę się, że mogłem w taki sposób zmarnować swój czas.

Into the Sun (2005)

Oh Jesus, what's going on here? The Yakuza get along with Chinese gangsters and assassinate a well-known politician. The Americans ask an experienced former agent, a specialist in this kind of cases, for help in explaining the case. And this is where Steven Seagal enters the scene. The whole character "created" by the actor does not "stick", it is hard to believe everything we know about the protagonist. In the meantime, we meet a young sidekick who is only supposed to serve as a mindless background for the hero and the love of our "master" half the hero's age. And then, as usual with Seagal, a series of senseless events leads to an equally senseless finale. I'm glad that I could waste my time in such a way.
