This time I want to review a horror film from South Korea which recently went viral because of its achievements. That's right, the film I will discuss is Exhuma, a film that topped the box office with one million viewers in just three days after its premiere. In fact, the latest news that I read, this film has been watched by almost ten million viewers. Amazing isn't it? therefore I am very enthusiastic to discuss it here.

Exhuma tells the story of two shamans and two feng shui experts who dug up a cursed tomb. Initially, the two shamans got work from an American-Korean family to treat their sick baby, even though according to medical knowledge the baby was fine. According to Hwarim, the female shaman, the baby was being disturbed by the spirit of her late great-grandfather. Not only the baby, but also all the descendants of the family. Therefore, Hwarim advised the family to carry out the ritual of dismantling the grave. At first the family refused to do it, but finally they agreed. Then the two shamans, Hwarim and Bong Gil, worked together with two veteran feng shui experts who also had a sixth sense. Initially, Kim Sang Deok, one of them, refused to take part in the demolition of the tomb this time, because according to him the place was cursed because it had a very dark aura. But in the end he accepted the job. Sure enough, this was the beginning of disaster.

• The storyline is interesting and no jump scares

This film is not like most horror films which only focus on scary scenes, but there are several parts of this film which also tell about the history of Korea, Japan. Most films that tell history are a bit boring, but not this film. The story of this film is very interesting and not boring at all. And the most important thing is that there are no jump scares like horror films in general. Even without the jump scare, this film is very scary. The ghost in this film is also very scary because it turns out he is a demon from Japan. Anyway, the story of this film is very good and I recommend watching it.

• A Scene that gave me goosebumps and is still embedded in my memory

There are several scenes that I think are extraordinary, but my favorite scene is the ritual the shamans carry out before opening the grave. The shaman ritual played by Kim Goeun and Lee Dohyun was the scene that attracted my attention the most and the one that made the most impression on my memory. Actually, I have often seen shaman scenes in Korean dramas, but not as detailed as in this film. I don't know if it's because the actors are great at playing them or because of the shooting. Anyway, that was the scene that gave me goosebumps and I remember the most until now.

• Amazing acting by the actors

I'll start with Kim Go Eun who plays a shaman named Hwarim. Honestly, I was amazed by Kim Goeun's acting in this film. I think this is the best acting I've ever seen. She is an actress who is good at acting, but I never thought she would be that good at playing the role of a shaman. As I mentioned above, my favorite scene is when Hwarim and Dong Gil perform the ritual before opening the tomb.Choi Minsik plays Kim Sangdeok, he is a Fengshui expert who has been working for decades. There is no need to doubt Choi Minsik's acting because he is a senior actor. Then another actor who caught my attention was Lee Dohyun, who I think is an acting genius. Why do I call him a genius? Because since his debut several years ago, he has never failed to amaze the audience. In fact, I think his acting is better than some actors who have debuted a long time ago. In this film, Lee Dohyun looks united in his role.
