This is Entirely Too Silly - You Should Laugh More

Greetings and salutations Hivers. Today I thought we'd do another You Should Laugh More post.

Research has shown that laughter is good for us. It has all kinds of health benefits. Despite most of us knowing this, none of us laugh enough. Yeah, I know, being an adult is tough, and furthermore there is a lot of grim stuff happening in the world. These things may be true, but that just is all the more reason for trying to get a little laughter into our lives.

Today I have some more random silliness for you today.

Let's get going!

Let's start with this one. I think for years after the 60s Batman series, Adam West tried to distance himself from the role. When it followed him around and he was typecast, he tried to distance himself even more. But finally as he got older, he started to embrace it. And did all kinds of things making fun of his image, like this:

Johnny Bravo Meets Adam West

Johnny Bravo was a silly show that was popular for a few seasons. This one featured Adam West.

The entire episode is amazing. If you can find it, I fully recommend watching.

Johnny Bravo Meets Scooby-Doo

Speaking of Johnny Bravo, they did another crossover episode featuring Scooby-Doo. This one is also really funny and is worth tracking down. Here's a clip:

Adam West in 2022's The Batman

Ok, this one isn't laugh-out-loud like the other's, but as long as we are on the theme, someone made a trailer for the most recent Batman movie, but substituted in Adam West (and the other OG crew). This is great!

To the Bee-Mobile!

Speaking of Adam West, this has to be one of my all time favorite Simpsons bits.

Billie Jean

Let's break these Adam West theme and end on this one. Someone took some dancing clips from Laurel and Hardy and set them to Michael Jackson's Billie Jean. This works way better than you might think. I love it!

So what do you think? Let me know your thoughts in the comments!

Thanks for the laughs !

I enjoyed your post. I really laughed at that glimpse of the old batman running and carrying that giant bomb over his head. I watched those growing up. They are pretty cheesy, but at the time there had been nothing like that before and me and my sibs loved it.

"furthermore there is a lot of grim stuff happening in the world. These things may be true, but that just is all the more reason for trying to get a little laughter into our lives."

This made me think, I wonder if we all started laughing a LOT every day, if it would be like Monster's Inc and the happy energy could change the world. I'm thinking we should try laughing all that crappy stuff away.

The Johnny Bravo cartoon brings back memories.

Good times!

I love that Chevy bee-mobile from The Simpsons! Classic! Great Adam West additions, they are always funny.

The Scooby-Doo/ Johnny Bravo was great. Did you ever see the crossover the show Supernatural did with Scooby-Doo, that was funny!

Laurel and Hardy actually look funny with Michael Jackson, fits surprisingly well. I'm not sure how someone though that one up!
