Shadow and Bone: A Journey of Surprises and Enchantment

So guys, I finally saw the TV show titled Shadow and Bone after a very long time of skipping it for other shows. I was thinking it wasn't my kind of show and because of this, everytime I come across it while scrolling through Netflix, I tend to always skip it not until last week when I decided I won't be skipping it no matter what.

I guess I have been wrong all along about this show because guys, the show is absolutely my kind of show. I only based my judgment on the flyer and didn't bother checking out the trailer and I guess that's what gave me the mindset that the show was not my type. This is how I would have missed this captivating show. Good a thing I had to listen to that voice that pushed me to see the show because I have no atom of regret.

Basically, this show perfectly blends fantasy, adventure, and romance into a captivating viewing experience. The show was set in a richly crafted world that is filled with magic and it tells us about the journey of Alina Starkov, a young orphan who discovered she possessed a unique and powerful ability that could change the fate of her nation. It introduces us to the fictional land of Ravka, a land where darkness looms over due to the presence of a formidable force that's known as the Shadow Fold, a mystical barrier that divides the country.

I loved the fact that this show has lots of characters that has their own unique personalities and motivations. We have Alina Starkov who undergoes a remarkable transformation from a timid cartographer in the First Army to a formidable Grisham who was able to harness her newfound powers so she could fight the darkness that threatened her homeland. We also have the charming General Kirigan, whose mysterious agenda adds lots of suspense to the story.

Truth be told, each character in this show did so well to bring their own struggles and desires to the forefront and to be honest, this contributed so much to the show being so interesting and captivating.

When it comes to the visuals, this movie is totally a feast for the eyes. I was impress to see this show having lots of stunning cinematography and breathtaking special effects and even the costumes and set designs were so on point. Trust me these things helped to enhance my visual appeal as it was able to transport me to a forgotten era that was filled with magic and mystique.
