Most of the action thrillers I've seen so far are based on books, usually it's something I already know before watching the series, but this time I didn't know anything about it, I had no idea that the story comes from a book, I found out because Amazon in their stream when you pause it, includes information about the actors on stage and what the story is based on, at that moment I knew about the book, reading a brief synopsis.

La mayoría de los Thriller de acción que he visto hasta ahora se basan en libros, normalmente es algo que ya se antes de ver la serie, pero en esta ocasión no sabía nada al respeto, no tenia la mas minima idea que la historia proviene de un libro, lo supe gracias a que Amazon en sus stream al momento de dar pausa, incluye información de los actores en escena y en que está basada la historia, en ese momento fue que supe del libro, leyendo una breve sinopsis.

So I went into watching the series totally blind, not knowing what I would find beyond the brief synopsis that I could read, I did it sincerely trusting that Chris Pratt is its protagonist and producer, I was very interested to know how well he performs as a producer. The good thing about being somewhat blind, is that it elevated my viewing experience a lot, because at the time of finishing only the first episode I was shocked.

Así que entre a ver la serie totalmente a ciegas, sin saber que me encontraria mas alla de la breve sinopsis que pude leer, lo hice sinceramente confiando que Chris Pratt es su protagonista y su productor, me interesaba mucho saber que tan bien se desempeña como productor. Lo bueno de estar un tanto a ciegas, es que elevo mucho mi experiencia de visualización, porque al momento de finalizar solamente el primer episodio queda impactado.

What the series is about

The Terminal List tells the story of Navy Seal Commander James Reece (Chris Pratt) who, along with his squadron, executes the operation 'Sword of Odin' to eliminate a dangerous Iranian scientist. This operation takes them into enemy territory where they must infiltrate, but not everything goes as expected and fall into a trap, where almost all his squad dies except for one of his men and him.

The terminal List nos cuenta la historia del comándate de los Navy Seal James Reece (Chris Pratt) que junto a su escuadrón, ejecutan la operación 'espada de Odin' para eliminar un peligroso científico Iraní. Esta operación les lleva a territorio enemigo donde deben infiltrarse, pero no todo sale como esperaban y caen en una trampa, donde muere casi todo su escuadrón a excepción de uno de sus hombre y el.

Upon returning home he begins to experience severe headaches that seem to affect his actions and judgment, especially in relation to the death of his entire squad. It isn't long before the other survivor of his squad apparently commits suicide out of guilt, which Reece doubts, and it isn't until he himself is the victim of an attempt to kill him that he makes it clear that his partner didn't commit suicide.

Al volver a casa empieza a experimentar fuertes dolores de cabeza que parecen afectar su accionar y su juicio, en especial con lo relacionado a la muerte de todo su escuadrón. No transcurre mucho tiempo cuando el otro superviviente de su escuadrón aparentemente se suicida por la culpa, lo cual Reece pone en duda, y no es hasta que el mismo es víctima de un atentado que le deja en claro que su compañero no se suicidó.

Why do they want to kill them? what is real about everything that happens? The events unfold and at times you don't know it's a figment of his imagination because of headache but, what causes it? I won't write more as it would give spoilers that would ruin the surprise and excitement of discovering the answer to these questions.

¿Porque quieren matarlos? ¿que es real de todo lo que ocurre? los hechos transcurren y por momentos no sabes que es producto de su imaginación debido a su dolor de cabeza pero ¿que ocasiona su dolor de cabeza? No escribo mas ya que daría spoilers que arruinarían la sorpresa y emoción al descubrir la respuesta a esta preguntas.

Opinion

I'm very impressed by the fact that it is described as an action thriller, but this type of scenes aren't exactly the most abundant, and that's not bad believe me, there are also a series of dialogues and drama scenes that enrich the story, the truth is that I really liked the dialogues, they take you by the hand so you can elucidate the truth until the end of the season, without ceasing to be a victim of the fact of believing to know who is guilty from the beginning.

Opinion

Me llama poderosamente la atención que es descrito como thriller de acción, pero este tipo de escenas, no son precisamente las que mas abunda, y eso no es malo creanme, también hay una serie de diálogos y escenas de drama que enriquecen mucho la historia, la verdad que los diálogos me gustaron mucho, te llevan de la mano para que puedas dilucidar la verdad hasta el final de la temporada, sin dejar de ser víctima del hecho de creer saber quien es el culpable desde el principio.

For a moment during the second episode, almost abandoned the series, the idea that all the events could be a product of his imagination, didn't attract me at all, but luckily I didn't stop watching it, what a surprise I got, I fell perfectly in this false idea, I even began to hate the character because the bad consequences seemed to be his fault, but everything gives a very good turn, in favor of the character and a plot change that the truth is you don't expect.

Por un instante durante el segundo episodio, casi abandonó la serie, la idea que de todos los acontecimientos podrían ser producto de su imaginación, no me atraía para nada, pero menos mal que no deje de verla, vaya sorpresa me lleve, caí perfectamente en esta falsa idea, incluso empecé aborrecer al personaje porque las malas consecuencias parecían ser su culpa, pero todo da un muy buen giro, a favor del personaje y un cambio de trama que la verdad no te esperas.

Chris Pratt does fantastic, this is perhaps his best characterization I have seen so far, the way he plays a Navy Seal is impressive, the movements, the use of weapons, the strategy, the nostalgic moments in the midst of his memories, the loving family man, the committed professional, there are many facets that he must address with the character, which to my way of seeing transitions between them naturally.

Chris Pratt lo hace fantástico, esta es quizás su mejor caracterización que he visto hasta ahora, la forma en que interpreta a un Navy Seal es impresionante, los movimientos, el uso de las armas, la estrategia, los momentos nostálgicos en medio de sus recuerdos, el padre de familia amoroso, el profesional comprometido, son muchas facetas que debe abordar con el personaje, que a mi manera de ver se traslada entre ellas naturalmente.

I highly recommend this series, the truth is the best I've been able to see this year, too bad I didn't see it at the time since it premiered in 2022, I don't know how it went with the reviews but I don't care to know, personally I liked it a lot, I'm surprised with the content that Amazon is currently offering, far above other streaming platforms.

Recomiendo ampliamente esta serie, la verdad que de lo mejor que he podido ver este año, lastima que no la vi en su momento ya que se estrenó en el 2022, no se como le fue con las críticas pero no me interesa saberlo, personalmente me gusto mucho, estoy sorprendido con el contenido que que está ofreciendo Amazon actualmente, muy por encima de otras plataformas de streaming.
