Paradise the thriller that rekindles viewer excitement 🤯 [ENG/SPA]

I just finished watching the series Paradise, and everything they're saying is true. I now understand why it's generated so much buzz and why so many people love it. That's why I'm here today to share my opinion, highlighting what I liked most. It's one of those end-of-the-world type series, where humanity faces a global catastrophe. It has that vibe of movies like The Day After Tomorrow and 2012, but you don't find out until almost the end of this first season, which I found fascinating. So, if you haven't seen it, I recommend you stop reading now because there will be spoilers.

Paradise el thriller que recupera la emoción del espectador 🤯

Ya vi la serie Paradise y es verdad todo lo que dicen, ya entiendo porque ha dado tanto de qué hablar y a muchos le ha encantado, por eso hoy les traigo mi opinión, lo que mas me gusto. Es una de esas series del tipo fin del mundo, donde la humanidad debe enfrentar una catástrofe a nivel global, tiene ese aire de películas como el Dia Despues de Mañana y 2012, pero no te enteras hasta casi el final de esta primera temporada, lo cual me pareció fascinante, así que si no la haz visto te recomiendo no continúes porque habrá spoilers.

The series tells the story of Xavier, the head of the Secret Service who protects the President of the United States. But he's not in the White House as usual; they're in what appears to be a peaceful community in a mansion. Xavier, like every day, heads to where the president is but realizes he hasn't woken up early as usual. When he goes up to his room, he finds him dead. This event disrupts the peace of the place, which turns out to be a kind of refuge inside a mountain that houses people who seem to be influential and economically powerful.

La serie nos cuenta la historia de Xavier, el jefe del servicio secreto que protege al presidente de los Estados Unidos, pero no se encuentra en la Casa Blanca como de costumbre, están en lo que parece una comunidad tranquila en una mansión. Xavier como todos los dias, se dirige donde está el presidente pero se da cuenta que no se despertó temprano como siempre, cuando sube a su habitación le encuentra muerto. Este suceso altera la paz del lugar, que resulta ser una especie de refugio dentro de una montaña que alberga a personas que parecen ser influyentes y poderosas económicamente.

It turns out that a select group of 25,000 people live in a shelter that was built by super-rich individuals inside a mountain in Colorado, in preparation for what would possibly be the end of the world. Scientists manage to predict a catastrophic event that will submerge the earth in water, making everything uninhabitable. Among the inhabitants are the President of the United States and a select group of his security, commanded by Xavier. But being his personal security, there aren't many to blame for his murder, so he's the prime suspect.

Resulta que un grupo selecto de 25 mil personas viven en un refugio que fue construido por supermillonarios dentro de una montaña en Colorado, en preparación para lo que seria posiblemente el fin del mundo. Unos científicos logran predecir un evento catastrófico que sumergirá la tierra en agua y todo queda inhabitable. Entre los habitantes están el presidente de los Estados Unidos y un grupo selecto de su seguridad el cual comanda Xavier, pero al ser su seguridad personal, no hay muchos a quien culpar de su asesinato, así que el es el primer sospechoso.

What I'm telling you is just the premise of the series, with a few minor spoilers. The point is that Xavier's character must quickly prove that he's not the culprit, so a whole investigation begins, which gradually leads to discovering other very sensitive issues that affect all the residents of the place. The plot twists in this series are some of the best I've seen in a long time; I haven't seen a thriller that excited me this much in ages.

Esto que les cuento es solo la primicia de la serie, con uno que otro pequeño spoiler, el asunto es que el personaje de Xavier debe demostrar con prontitud que el no es el culpable, así que empieza toda una investigación, que poco a poco, va derivando en descubrir otros asuntos muy delicados que afectan a todos los residentes del lugar. Los giros de tuerca de esta serie son de los mejores que he visto en mucho tiempo, no veía un thriller que me emocionara tanto como este desde hace mucho.

The thing with this genre of content is that it has become very predictable lately. But when a thriller is well-made, like Paradise, it gives you the feeling of being immersed in a story where you don't know where it's going, and I love that because it keeps you in total suspense. Not to mention the amazing performance by Sterling K. Brown; the last time I saw him act was in American Fiction, and I thought he was very good, and now he's a kind of super-agent who holds the fate of humanity in his hands.

Lo que pasa con este género de contenido, es que actualmente se ha vuelto muy predecible, pero cuando un thriller está bien hecho, como Paradise, te da la sensación de estar inmerso en una historia que no sabes hacia dónde va, y eso me encanta porque te mantiene en total expectativa. Ni hablar del papelazo que se tira Sterling Kate Brown, la última vez que lo vi actuar fue en American Fiction y me pareció muy bueno su desempeño, y ahora es una especie de super agente que tiene en sus manos el destino de la humanidad.

Episode 7 is absolutely insane; I was so thrilled! An incredible mix of political thriller, with action, intrigue, suspense, catastrophe, and a lot of science fiction that keeps you on the edge of your seat. The truth is that Paradise is completely unpredictable in a good way, bringing back the spirit of those wonderful television productions we once had, that entertained us so much. That's why you can't miss it; watch it, and you'll thank me.

¡El episodio 7 es una completa locura, me emociono muchísimo! Una mezcla increíble de thriller político, con acciona, intriga, suspenso, catástrofe y mucho ciencia ficción que te pone al borde del sillón. La verdad que Paradise es completamente impredecible en el buen sentido, trayendo de vuelta el espíritu de esas producciones de televisión maravillosas que alguna vez tuvimos, que tanto nos entretenían, por eso no se la pueden perder, veanla porque me lo van agradecer.
