What's up community, I have just seen this movie and I was pleasantly surprised, I was very excited to see it, I'm a big fan of this video game, I had the opportunity to play from the first to the fourth installment, my expectations were high, but I was intrigued about the story, because the game is literally a racing simulator with very good realism, it has no story or characters, the protagonists were the cars, or so I thought.

Que tal comunidad, recien he visto esta película y me he llevado una grata sorpresa, estaba muy emocionado por verla, son gran fan de este videojuego, tuve la oportunidad de jugar la primera y segunda entrega, mis expectativas eran altas, pero me intrigaba de que iba a tratar la historia, porque el juego es literalmente un simulador de carreras con muy buen realismo, no posee historia ni personajes, los protagonistas eran los carros, o eso era lo que yo creía.

But seeing the trailer and knowing that it would have a story, I was surprised and a little worried, since most movies based on video games have been a failure, and having to develop a story where there is no basis, is giving carte blanche to the screenwriters, so I thought before seeing the movie, I didn't bother to investigate more about the story so that everything was a surprise at the time of seeing it, definitely resulting in a tremendous surprise until the credits.

Pero al ver el trailer y saber que contaría con una historia, me sorprendió y me preocupo un poco, ya que las películas basadas en videojuegos la mayoría han sido un fracaso, y tener que desarrollar una historia donde no hay una base, es dar carta blanca a los guionistas, así pensaban antes de ver la película, tampoco me preocupe en investigar mas sobre la historia para que todo fuera una sorpresa al momento de verla, resultando definitivamente un tremenda sorpresa hasta llevar a los créditos.

This is the name of the protagonist of the movie, at first I thought it was another fictional character, one that was developed to give life to the non-existent story of Gran Turismo. My interest in this movie arises thanks to the game, I had the opportunity to play the first four, the last one for the PlayStation 2 console, and I can say from experience that it is truly a driving simulator, the only thing that distances it from reality is that the cars don't break down when crashing. It is a PlayStation exclusive game and it is impressive to know that it has more than 80 million players in simulators around the world.

Mi interés por esta película surge gracias al juego, tuve la oportunidad de jugar los primero cuatro, el ultimo para la consola PlayStation 2, y puedo decir por experiencia que es verdaderamente un simulador de conducción, lo único que lo aleja de la realidad es que los carros no se averían al chocar. Es un juego exclusivo de PlayStation y es impresionante saber que cuenta con mas de 80 millones de jugadores en simuladores por todo el mundo.

This is the other theme of the movie, it refers to this niche of gamers, highlighting the idea that they, who are also many, love to drive in a world where people prefer to take an Uber or ride in cars driven by artificial intelligences. These gamers can spend hours just configuring a car so that it has the necessary settings to make it faster or more stable.

Esto claramente apunta al otro aspecto de la película, es de principio a fin un comercial de mas de dos horas, promocionando marcas como Nissan, PlayStation, Rolex y muchas otras, también presenta como idea principal convertir un gamer de simulador en un piloto real, para que esa parte de la población se avoque a comprar carros debido a su pasión por manejar, ya que las empresas manufactureras de vehiculas han visto disminución en sus ventas, debido a que muchos ya no quieren conducir.

Is there a message in this movie?

To my surprise, yes there is, I expected more to spend all my time admiring cars in amazing races, but I found myself with the story of a boy who was good just to play to drive a car, who found in this activity the possibility to live his dream virtually, and who didn't lose faith in someday being a racing driver, but nobody believed in him, he received the typical qualification that everyone gives to gamers: you're wasting your time.

¿Hay algún mensaje en esta película?

Para mi sorpresa, si lo hay, esperaba mas pasar todo el tiempo admirando carros en carreras alucinantes, pero me encontré con la historia de un muchacho que era bueno solo para jugar a manejar un carro, que encontró en esta actividad la posibilidad de vivir su sueño de manera virtual, y que no perdia la fe en algun dia ser un piloto de carreras, pero nadie creía en él, recibía la típica calificación que todo el mundo da a los gamers: estás perdiendo tu tiempo.

Pero en medio de la oportunidad que se le brindó para conducir en la realidad, se convirtió en su entrenador Jack Salter (David Harbour) un piloto apartado de las carreras debido a un accidente, que no pudo continuar aún teniendo mucho que dar, pero que no supo si no hasta el momento debido, que su tragedia y la experiencia ganada en ella, ayudaría al joven piloto Jann Mardenborough (Archie Madekwe) a superar su propia tragedia, lo cual me gusto, porque ser un maestro, un mentor, un padre, una madre, una guia, requiere experiencia y no siempre es buena.

Overall I can say that I really enjoyed the movie, even with all its publicity, it also didn't have great performances that stood out, even Orlando Bloom almost forgot to mention it, but despite that the CGI is very good, it evokes memories in the players, the story is entertaining and motivating, the cars are all beauties, you can say it's a movie to pass the time.

En general puedo decir que disfrute mucho la película, incluso con toda su publicidad, tampoco contó con grandes actuaciones que destacarán, incluso Orlando Bloom casi olvido mencionarlo, pero pese a eso el CGI es muy bueno, evoca recuerdo en los jugadores, la historia es entretenida y motivadora, los carros son todos unas bellezas, puede decirse que es una película para pasar el rato.
