This is really a great show, but, as the author pointed out, it starts to lose its appeal after about season 4. I watched the first 5 seasons and then couldn't get myself to keep going. I waited a few years and then tried again, watching the first 5 again. Unfortunately, the same thing happened. Somewhere in season 5 it just became a chore to keep watching and I ended up quitting again.
Truly, the first 2 seasons are great and seasons 3 & 4 are still very good, but something happens (not an event, just a change in feeling) after that and it just becomes very difficult to watch. My wife managed to slog through it to the end, but I couldn't make it.
I'm glad to see I'm not alone in my opinion. :-)
I totally agree, there came a time when I lost interest in it and it's a shame because I really liked it. I saw some chapters of the last one and if I compare it with the first one, it's totally a disappointment.
