Well, this movie was kind of a one of a kind.

The movie itself, was sort of extremely average. But this movie does earn random bonus points. For one, it had awesome scenic nature views the entire time.

Another bonus point was the surprising ending.

A last bonus point is that this entire movie was based on a true story. Just nuts.

This movie features the most unique, overall harmless (kinda), 'extremist' ever. The main character Chris McCandless goes on a journey of essentially being a hardcore nature drifter.

He travels all over the east coast and just tries to find happiness or meaning or freedom. All of the above.

Like I said, it's heavily hippy-like but, it does hit different when you realize this was a true story.

It is a uniquely filmed movie and mildly ahead of it's time in terms of like, quality and scale I guess? High tech/quality views, drone like footage etc.

It's hard to talk about movies without giving the plot away. But this movie leaves me feeling, mildly inspired and also, sort of feeling cautious I guess.

Also, happiness is shared. I really miss my son sheeeeesh.

Decent movie. Was gonna give a five until I learned of the true story aspect and rather surprising ending. The movie had a sort of nature heavy hippy version of Forest Gump vibe and then the end happened.

6.8/10 for Into the Wild.
