Wicked Little Letters
I'd like to talk about a production whose story was very funny to me, but whose characters made me extremely angry. The inhabitants of a predominantly conservative town start to receive mysterious letters. The letters are extremely abusive and contain harsh words. The story of the movie is about finding the author of these letters and punishing him in front of the judiciary.
The story, which seems quite funny at the beginning, progresses mysteriously and gets out of control when the local press gets wind of it. The process of finding and punishing the culprit is full of examples of how society can be manipulated by prejudices and raises questions about the effectiveness of the defense of someone who has been declared guilty in society.
As I said at the beginning, I was very interested in the story of Wicked Little Letters. I watched the movie to satisfy my curiosity about social manipulation and the attitude of the majority against the minority, but after a certain point, the struggle of the townspeople was admirable.
In the beginning, it was impossible to expect a contrary reaction from people who are easily manipulated and easily made to believe what they want to believe, but when the story of the movie turns into women's solidarity, the impossible suddenly becomes possible. The story of the movie has a coherent beginning, development and conclusion, and its fluency was extraordinary.
The characters of the time, conservative and narrow-minded, embracing a life dominated by men, perfectly complemented the story of the movie. The atmosphere created and the way ignorance was handled was in harmony with the story. The behaviors of the characters towards the end, which can be defined as rebellion or rebellion, contribute positively to the success of the film and the ending of the story.
I would like to say that I absolutely loved the movie Wicked Little Letters. It has a different storyline and it was handled differently and made its own difference. The evidence based on the attempts to find the owner of the abusive letters contributed to the comedy aspect of the movie on its own. The behavior of the characters and the bursts of real emotions they keep hidden inside add great value to the film.
The movie was also very successful in reflecting a time in the past when conservatives and those who believed in male supremacy were in the majority. The location and costumes were in harmony with the characters. The involvement of the local press and the subsequent developments were in harmony with the storyline of the movie, and I think the fact that there were no gaps in those moments added to the pleasure of watching the movie.
I definitely recommend you to watch Wicked Little Letters, especially for those who want to spend some fun time with a different genre. The story of the movie proves where we have come from in terms of worldview and gender.
Thank you for being here and reading. I hope I helped you get a preliminary idea about the movie. I wish everyone who will watch it a good time. Take care and goodbye!
