Tiempo sin aire - Visual Form of Tragedy and Drama
The 2015 film Tiempo sin aire, which depicts the life journey of a mother who is embittered with life and whose only goal is to take revenge until she achieves her goal, is a successful production that stands out with its themes of violence and trauma.
First and foremost, the film tragically examines the mother, who is a strong character, and her instinct to protect her children, and when she feels that she cannot protect them, her instinct to take revenge, and her desire for life until she reaches her goal.
It is an important detail to see what human beings can do when the conditions are forced, watching those whose sole purpose is to hold on to life at the beginning burn with the fire of revenge after conscious or unconscious mistakes. While the movie shows us this detail from many angles, it also provides moments full of drama with its story.
Tiempo sin aire is not just a revenge movie, of course, it contains many tragic stories and determination. The most important of these is that it perfectly portrays the indescribable pain a mother goes through, as well as her courage and what she is willing to risk for her children.
Juana Acosta, who gives life to the mother character Maria, who reflects the drama aspect of the movie with great success, was my favorite name of the movie in several ways. The character she portrays successfully reflects the feelings of determination, courage, desire for revenge and love, which she succumbs to despite all this, in a single story.
Another detail that I think was successfully handled in the film was the differences between the behavior of the characters, which caused the tragedy and drama scenes in the story, when they were in power and when the power was taken away from them and they returned to civilian life. It makes no sense to regret what you did while you were in power after you lose it, which you can see and understand more clearly as you watch the movie.
Thanks to the villainous characters, we are once again reminded of the fact that the last regret does no one any good. I really liked the story of the movie and the way the story was handled. Among the characters, I can say that Maria did a great job, especially with her emotional transitions and the way she reflected her desire for revenge.
There was a scene in the movie that I had a hard time making sense of. After being raped by 3 militias, the girl was killed by her own grandfather, and I had a hard time making sense of why her grandfather did this. The only thing I can think of is that it might be due to the difference in the way culture and traditions work. I think it would have been more realistic and acceptable if the character, who was already seriously wounded by the militia, had been killed by the militia. Unfortunately, the gap created in the story at those moments could not be filled until the end of the movie.
I would recommend watching Tiempo sin aire, especially for its characterization and its ability to reflect the difficulties the character is going through. If you have a tendency to watch tragic stories and drama scenes, this is the movie for you. The movie could have been much more successful with a little more directorial contribution, but even as it is, I think it's definitely worth watching.
Thank you very much for being here and reading. I wish everyone who will watch the movie a good time. I hope you enjoy it and have a good time. Bye!
