The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare

Going beyond conventional warfare methods, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is set in 1939 when the Second World War was in full swing.

The story of the movie tells the actions of an unconventional unit that disregards conventional warfare methods in order to gain psychological and logistical superiority in a war.

Founded by the British Prime Minister of the time, this unit conducts covert operations to gain the upper hand in the war, infiltrating behind the enemy and carrying out various sabotage and assassinations to weaken the enemy.

In productions that are believed to shed light on history, it is important to remember that there are two dimensions to what happened. What one side sees as heroes, the other side may call them something else.

What I liked most about The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is that the characters often question themselves. As in the movie Munih, which I recently watched, the characters question themselves for what they have done. Even if the outcome doesn't change, I find it valuable that the audience is given the option to form their own opinion.

When the story of the movie progresses in this way, you realize that even if the producers take sides, they are not trying to get you on their side and you enjoy the movie more. During the operations against Nazi Germany, starting from the formation of the unit to the sabotage and assassination attempts during the operations they organized, the story makes more sense when they question themselves and what they did.

Most of the characters in the movie are tough and charismatic. Considering the reasons why they were brought together illegally by legal people, I can say that the casting choices are impeccable and each actor plays their character perfectly.

The one that caught my attention the most was Eiza Gonzalez as Marjörie Stewart. She perfectly portrayed the character of a strong, independent and intelligent woman. Her attempts to get out of every danger and save herself are definitely worth watching.

As a result, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is one of the productions that I can say should be watched with its story and action-packed scenes that provide a different perspective on the Second World War. I enjoyed watching it and I recommend everyone to watch it.

Thank you for being here and reading. I hope I have given you enough information to get a preliminary idea about the movie. I wish everyone who will watch it a good time. Take care and goodbye!
