The Creator - The Two Species Will Live in Peace!
Robots with severed legs carried on a stretcher, bombs that run to a target and explode on arrival, artificial intelligence that exhibits more humane behavior than humans...
The two species will live together in peace. Sounds pretty cool, but let me tell you that we're talking about artificial intelligence and the human race, so take your stand accordingly!
Artificial intelligence is just a program, as such it looks quite innocent, but when integrated into robots they can be quite scary. At least for me they are scary and always will be...
...but I watched a new production, The Creator, which eased my fears a bit. As an origin story, the battle between AI robots and humans in a fictional universe is very appealing. As long as I'm in the audience seat!
And since I was in the audience, I must admit that I enjoyed the movie. Unlike the others of its kind that I have seen so far, The Creator is different from the others both in terms of story and its processing. The most prominent feature in the separation is that robots are more conscientious than humans, and the purpose of the artificial intelligence robots in the processing of the story was their attitude in favor of ending the war, not continuing the war.
I liked The Creator very much in terms of the story and the way it was handled. The world and the costumes in the fiction set in the future were extraordinary. I'm not a professional when it comes to filming, but I liked the shots and some of the scenes were visually satisfying.
I thought that the fact that the story was somewhat based on the theme of love would cause it to lose its sci-fi aspect, but I was wrong. Since the love was kept limited in the story, I can say that it added extra flavor to the story.
John David Washington, who plays the character of Joshua, who is initially against the robots (like me, lol) and then sides with the robots in the light of the new facts that have emerged, has done a great acting job. The transitions in his role are in harmony with the cause.
Madeleine Yuna Voyles as Alphie, the eponymous character and the hope of all AI robots, was the star of the movie as a child actress. He repeatedly reminds us that a child is a child everywhere, even in artificial intelligence.
The Creator movie gives the flavor that everyone who loves the science fiction genre will want. I strongly recommend you to watch the movie. Two hours to be spent well are waiting for you.
