No Country for Old Men
The story of dozens of dead bodies and unclaimed money left behind after a dispute between drug gangs in Texas is the main theme of the 2007 film No Country for Old Men.
If I approach the story of the movie from a broad perspective, I can say that it has a structure where we will see a lot of reflections of the collapsing moral values of people, but I can also say that it is a successful production to have a good time.
Llewelyn Moss, who coincidentally finds the unclaimed 2 million dollar bag among dozens of corpses, is the character who best reflects the collapsing moral values. Anton Chigurh, who emerges as the owner of the money he thinks is unclaimed and kills almost everyone he sees without even questioning the collapsing moral values, is the other character of the movie.
The fact that No Country for Old Men takes place under the conflicts, goals, disagreements and struggle for life between these two characters makes the story more interesting. After a certain point, the movie turns into an adventure between the two and offers extra viewing pleasure thanks to its fluidity and rivalry.
What I liked most about the movie is the way the story reflects the different traits that are added to both characters. The unique traits of the characters give more of an impression of an image on display, and certainly thanks to the actors' accomplishments; they contribute perfectly to the story.
The few traits added to Anton Chigurh, who pursues the main character and acts as his shadow, are frustrating in some scenes, but in the bigger picture, they are very much in line with the moral collapse that is being created and accepted in the story.
Although Anton Chigurh is after him, Llewelyn Moss, who seems to know his every step in advance, is actually following the dream of most of us. Who wouldn't want to claim the 2 million dollars lying unclaimed? It's debatable whether his taking the opportunity that came his way by chance falls into the category of collapsing moral values. Lol
But if you look at the story of the movie from a broader perspective, it is very clear that this interrogation is not just a case of unqualified theft. In fact, I don't want to spoil your viewing pleasure by going into too much detail by saying that there are many details that can and cannot be done in the story.
I recommend you to watch No Country for Old Men with its thriller, crime and adventure story. The story is told in some detail and this makes the movie a bit long, but when the rivalry between the characters starts, you don't even realize how fast the time passes.
Thank you for being here and reading. I hope I have helped you to get a preliminary idea about the movie. I wish everyone who will see the movie a good time. Take care and goodbye!
