Kiss the Girls

The movie Kiss the Girls, which reflects the psychological problems of a professional elite who abuses his education, successfully reflects the crime genre. The most surprising part of the story is that a character who kidnaps beautiful and intelligent women, forces them to fall in love with him, and punishes them when he thinks they don't, is extremely successful in his profession and avoids the point of suspicion as much as possible.

Considering that the release date of the movie was 1997, it is natural for me to expect an extra boost in the performances of the actors. I should add right away that every character in the movie more than meets this expectation, but I think I should open a special parenthesis for Morgan Freeman.

In the movie where he plays forensic psychologist Dr. Alex, after the sudden disappearance of his niece, he puts on an incredible performance on the way to illuminate the serial missing women and death cases. I don't remember a bad movie by Morgan Freeman, but his performance in Kiss the Girls deserves extra praise.

Until the moment when the smallest clues are put together and the solution is reached, the movie never loses momentum, has a very fluid story in terms of immersion and offers great viewing pleasure. When you watch the movie in a quiet, calm place, you don't have the luxury of not getting into the story because the story has already sucked you in.

If I were to evaluate the movie only in terms of the crime genre, it is definitely one of the few movies that I think best represents the genre. In addition to the performances of the actors, the shots and the progression of the story don't allow you to get bored and you don't want to walk away even for a moment. The only negative I would say is that the suspense was lacking. If the movie had been loaded with tension as much as the way the mystery was added and progressed, it could have been simply perfect.

The lack of scenes of women being kidnapped and forced to fall in love does not spoil the story, on the contrary, it makes it more understandable. The final scenes involving the real perpetrator, who remains a mystery until the very end, unify the story. Ashley Judd, who plays the character of Dr. Kate, one of the kidnapped women, was the unifying character in the story of the film.

I can't say that Ashley Judd was overshadowed by Morgan Freeman, the actress successfully reflected all the characteristics of her character throughout the movie. The story of the movie focuses on her after a certain point and ends with her.

I recommend you to watch Kiss the Girls. The crime and mystery genre is successfully woven into the story. All the characters, including the local forces, do justice to their roles and the movie is a pleasure to watch. The sincerity and body language of the actors' performances in the old movies is the cherry on top of the story.

Thank you for being here and reading. I hope I was able to give you a preliminary idea about the movie. I wish everyone who will watch it a good time. Take care and goodbye!
