Beasts Of No Nation - The Cruel Face of War; Children
A search for "Netflix movie with the highest IMDB score" led me to a few titles, including Beasts Of No Nation. I should mention that I ignored the other productions because I chose Beasts Of No Nation to watch, I am sure they are also very successful.
I remember from the many movies I have watched and reviewed that Netflix has been making successful productions for a few years now. They are better than in the past and I am confident that they will be even better in 2024.
The reason I chose Beasts Of No Nation to watch was that the real events that took place on the once closed continent were reflected on the big screen. Every year, we have the opportunity to observe thousands of different events in many parts of the world that there is no evil that people will not do to each other because of personal interests and greed for power. And we also know that nothing has changed.
The movie Beasts Of No Nation tells the story of the intrigues surrounding the civil conflicts in Africa and how children are actively used and abused in wars. Children as young as play age are abducted by local groups to serve their own interests, raised and turned into ruthless warriors.
Unfortunately, I have to say that I liked the story very much to face such a problem in the world. Every movie that reflects the truth is the easiest way to learn. I wish all this didn't happen and the stories were just fiction, but unfortunately it's time to face reality.
I find it valuable that the screenwriter and the director of the movie shout the truth in the face of all the viewers through the child soldiers. I think this detail alone enriches the movie. While watching the movie, you don't feel the need to evaluate the performances of the actors positively or negatively because the subject matter and the story are far beyond the performances of the actors.
I would like to single out Idris Elba, who plays the character of the Commander. I'm sure many people will be angry at the character he plays, but I really liked his performance. He does justice to his role to the last point that a person can come to for the sake of personal interests and power. He successfully reflected his ambition and the fact that there is no limit to what he can do to achieve his goal.
I think everyone should watch Beasts Of No Nation and learn about what happened in different parts of the world. I would like to warn you that there are disturbing scenes in the movie, so you should be careful who you watch it with. The drama of those who had to face the cruel face of war at a young age was really heartbreaking.
