Some thoughts about Teth Adam (Black Adam)
When I was ill and was resting, I took the opportunity to watch movies on Netflix. One of the movies that I watched is Black Adam. It’s my 2nd time seeing this movie. My first was in the cinema which for me is a much better experience because of the sound effects. I already know the plot of the story so there’s no more thrill as I watch the sequence of the scene. But it’s still a good movie considering the visual effects during the fight scenes.
I had very little knowledge about the DC Universe so I can’t relate to the story of Black Adam. Watching it for the 2nd time allowed me to understand the story a little bit more. If I’m to compare my understanding of the Marvel Universe and DC Universe then I would say that I can relate more to the storyline of Marvel movies. I also feel that the writing in Marvel sounds better too. Maybe I’m just a fan of Marvel that why’s I’m absurdly comparing it with DC.
If I focus on the movie, I would say that it was a good one. The visual effects are the strongest point of this movie. I think that the quality of the VFX is superb and extremely detailed. For me, the most interesting effect was the first encounter of Black Adam and the Intergang army. There are plenty of explosion details that are interesting to watch. It was in slow-motion so it kind of appealed to me with the same cool vibe as the Superman & the Flash fighting scene combined.
Another interesting aspect of this movie is that Black Adam isn’t portrayed as the hero in this story. He is an anti-hero. He fights Intergang who are
the bad guys but he does it in such a way that also displays aggression towards the enemy and to the properties around him.
The fight scene between Black Adam and the Justice Society is probably the highlight of this movie. Hawkman, Dr. Fate, Cyclone, & Atomic Smasher are strong but Black Adam is invisible since he bears the powers of multiple Gods.
He may seem almighty and undefeated but even Superman has a weakness too and so is he. It was revealed in the earlier part of the movie that Eternium can hurt champions like Black Adam so we can say that it could be his weakness. However, it was also revealed that Black Adam can heal himself so it’s kind of confusing. It makes me think that he’s invincible 😅.
I hope to see the sequel soon!
I think this is for me a new movie suggestion, I certainly have to see this one. Thank you so much @curamax
