My Weekend Experience: Watching the Kingdom III

I've been following this movie series ever since I watched the first one on Netflix. Today, I noticed that the 3rd sequel was released. I got excited to see it while I was browsing the choices of movies available. It's not a wonder that it's one of the top trending movies this week. I haven't watched the anime version so I had no clue about the story while I was watching the movie.

This is the type of story that wasn't centered on a single character. Although Shin, a war orphan, is the main character, other dominant characters also make the story interesting.

In this 3rd sequel, I learned the deeper meaning of Emperor Eisei's purpose in unifying China. There was a scene where I got teary eyes because I felt the struggles that he went through just to be able to go back home and be crowned as the emperor.

Another dominant character in the 3rd sequel is General Ohki. In this sequel, the character makes an impact in the story as he leads the entire Qin army against the Zhao invaders. Unlike in the first parts of the movie series, I learned about the way his mind works. In this sequel, it shows his prowess when it comes to the art of war.

And of course, the best part of this sequel is Shin, Kyokai, and the entire 100-man (peasant soldiers) unit being able to reunite to fight and defend their nation from the invaders.

It's exciting, thrilling, and highly moving! That's all I could think of while I was watching the movie. There are times when I feel like jumping from the couch because of the excitement that I felt in some of the scenes during the battle.

I can't wait to see the next sequel of Kingdom.
