I don't think is all about whitewashing in this movie. Of course there are many things that it doesn't tell but let's jump to the fact that this a book-based partial version of the story of a man (Oppenheimer). However, there are many voices in the movie and many scenes that denunciate those crimes, the cruelty of how absurd it was to deploy that power over an almost defeated people (that is shown in the film) and other few things you mention.
I have no doubt there are many important things that were left outside the script but if they had included all of them it would be a different movie and not this one.
