Today is May 4th and like every year thousands (if not millions) of Star Wars fans celebrate the existence of this wonderful saga that gave us so much since we were little. Those of us who are not so young were raised with these curious movies that made our imaginations fly. We are about 45 years since the release of the first Star Wars and the saga is more relevant than ever.

There is a lot of movement in the Disney studios and in recent years the franchise has delighted us with new installments. We can immerse ourselves in various branches of the plot of this restless universe where there are revolutions even under the stones.

Los que no somos tan jóvenes fuimos criados con estas curiosas películas que hacían que nuestra imaginación vuele. Estamos a unos 45 años del estreno de la primera Star Wars y la saga está más vigente que nunca.

Hay mucho movimiento en los estudios de Disney y estos últimos años la franquicia nos deleito con nuevas entregas. Nos podemos sumergir en varias ramas de la trama de este inquieto universo donde hay revoluciones hasta debajo de las piedras.

Diversas razas, comunidades y religiones por toda la galaxia se resisten a ser asimilados por el imperio. El universo de Star Wars es muy rico en variedad y todo con una moda mística, túnicas largas, capuchas, vestidos brillantes y los uniformes del imperio; muy similares a los del fascismo alemán del 45.

Es un fenómeno artístico que nos acompaña hace tanto tiempo ya que nuestra cultura se adaptó a ellos en manera tal que personas que nunca vieron Star Wars lo reconocen automáticamente. Innumerables apariciones en series de televisión y películas lo hacen reconocible, sátiras, parodias, documentales y homenajes. Personas de todo el mundo se organizan y hacen convenciones, se disfrazan, desmenuzan la historia absorbiendo cada detalle y hacen acalorados detalles sobre la continuidad de la historia durante las diferentes producciones.

Generaciones de terrestres fuimos criados con historias de Jedis y sables lasers, trucos mentales y mover objetos usando la fuerza, un gran concepto en sí mismo y bastante bien explotado. Así como existen los Jedi está su contraparte los Sith quienes representan lo oscuro. Mientras los Jedi representan el amor como el motor de la fuerza, los Sith el rencor, miedo y los sentimientos negativos.

Asi que este sabado si no tienen planes ya saben! Hay mucho del catalogo que explorar y porque no volver a mirar alguna pieza que nos haya gustado mucho.
