Decentralized and Distributed Information: The End of Traditional TV and Media

I remember my childhood very well, more or less 30 years ago, it was quite common for TV and Radio to be the biggest means of communication in every Brazilian's home. It was very common to see a TV on almost all day and this was one of the few entertainment options that people had in my city when I lived there at the time.
To this day TV Globo is the biggest broadcaster in the country and since I came into the world, that has never changed, it's impressive how much people in the past were almost fixated with the programming schedule that included everything from cartoons and broadcasting from football games to soap operas.
As I grew up, I was also in the grip of TV, it's funny how from a young age we are easily controlled and I'm not even talking about the media for example because I was still too young to care about what was happening in Brazil and the world. But one thing is inevitable, if you let it, you will be another person hypnotized and easily influenced by the media.
TV Globo and Its Incomparable Audience
As time went by, I realized how much we are influenced by traditional media. It's incredible what they did and still do with generations. Fortunately, what was little before is growing even more people who have definitely woken up from this heavy sleep and now know that you shouldn't believe everything that goes on on TV.
But before it was very, very difficult to go against what the broadcasters broadcast, especially on TV Globo, because as I told you, it was the biggest and main broadcaster in Brazil. Every night from Monday to Saturday night, it was sacred for the whole family to be in the living room to watch Jornal Nacional to find out what is happening in the country and in the world. The audience was absurdly high.
It's no surprise, because for a long time, the company Globo was always looking to improve its transmission and was looking for the best technology at the time to reach homes with a transmission with a very clean and clear screen, as unlike other competitors, this was quite noticeable. difference. When I was a teenager, I was upset because I couldn't watch MTV with the broadcast clear, but at least I could watch something.
Soap Operas to Influence and Manipulate the Masses
Soap operas were popular in the country, from children to the elderly sat in front of the screen to watch. I remember to this day that one of the soap operas in its last episode, called Avenida Brasil, had 52 points on Ibope, was considered the highest audience in the last 10 years, and left the streets of the country's largest cities deserted.
Jornal Nacional filmed the streets and avenues of some capitals and it seemed like it was a holiday with so few people on the street. There was even a concern in the event of a blackout due to the high number of televisions on at the same time. It was impressive what influence the soap opera had on the lives of each Brazilian.
Speaking of influence, it was precisely in soap operas and news broadcasts that manipulation took place, which was often veiled and almost imperceptible, as at the time I couldn't identify it and it was only much later that I started to open my eyes and it was the internet. which helped not only me but many people from this manipulation.
The Beginning of the Internet and the Fall of Traditional Media
Fortunately, the internet arrived and even though social networks were still in their infancy, it was already visible that the way we spend our free time would change considerably. Entertainment would change with the arrival of Youtube and other social networks such as Orkut and Facebook.
It's incredible the reach that the internet can reach you regardless of any news you want to know. While decentralized and distributed information advanced into people's homes, TV was no longer something that was so popular for anyone looking to update themselves or even want entertainment, as the internet already made this available regardless of the time you access it.
The 2018 elections were a culmination of the fact that the traditional media was failing in its purpose, as the government and the media were always hand in hand for their manipulations and thanks to the internet, a right-wing candidate was elected even though he only had seconds to promote his candidacy on TV while the other candidates had enough minutes to convince their voters.
What made his candidacy different was that the internet was his platform for voters to see and see what the future president wanted. Anyway, since that time, it was clear that TV was no longer a predominant communication vehicle and the centralization and manipulation by TV Globo was increasingly losing strength.
X As Refuge and The Fight Against Censorship
Recently, X, the old Twitter, has been my favorite place to stay up to date with news from here and around the world when I visit Web 2.0. But perhaps you should be aware of the persecution that many journalists and politicians are suffering censorship from a minister of Brazil's supreme court. Unfortunately we are facing a veiled dictatorship and on TV people have no idea what is actually happening here.
Quite the contrary, even though the traditional media is weakened, it still manages to distort the facts and makes people still believe what they want. Unfortunately, it will still take a few years before more people can be connected to the point of realizing the difference it makes when you are in the know via the internet.

The journey will still be long, but I'm sure that more people can wake up to reality and begin to realize how damaging sold media can be even for a nation. Unfortunately, many journalists, regardless of their political ideology, are complicit in being manipulative and have not actually studied to be impartial and always seek the truth.
With the arrival of Web 3.0, we have this “weapon” so that more people can wake up and be less dependent on certain influences where people are still easily deceived even on the internet. Well, this fight is something that will last a long time or perhaps will always exist. All one needs to do is realize which side is actually true.
TV as we knew it 20 or 30 years ago is no longer the same and perhaps in the not so distant future, this type of entertainment will no longer exist or who knows it will be very, very reduced, almost insignificant, as the next generations will not grow up being influenced by traditional media so they will not be easily manipulated and thus we could see the death and extinction of TV as we know it today.

Lembro muito bem da minha infância, há mais ou menos 30 anos, era bastante comum a TV e a Rádio serem os maiores veículos de comunicação na casa de cada brasileiro. Era algo muito comum ver uma TV ligada quase que o dia todo e isso era uma das poucas opções de entretenimentos que as pessoas tinham na minha cidade quando eu morava lá na época.
Até hoje a TV Globo é a maior emissora no país e desde quando eu vim ao mundo, isso nunca mudou, é impressionante o quanto que as pessoas antigamente eram quase que fixadas com a grade de programação que continham desde desenho animado e transmissão de jogos de futebol a novelas.
Na medida que fui crescendo, também estava nas garras da TV, é engraçado como desde pequenos somos facilmente controlados e nem me refiro na mídia por exemplo pois eu ainda era muito novo para me importar com o que acontecia no Brasil e no mundo. Mas uma coisa é inevitável, se você deixar, será mais um hipnotizado e facilmente influenciado pela mídia.
TV Globo e Sua Audiência Incomparável
Com o passar do tempo, fui percebendo o quanto que somos influenciados pela mídia tradicional. É incrível o que fizeram e ainda fazem com as gerações. Felizmente o que antes era pouco, está crescendo ainda mais as pessoas que definitivamente acordaram desse sono pesado e hoje sabem que não se deve acreditar em tudo que passa na TV.
Mas antes era muito, mas muito difícil de contrariar com o que as emissoras transmitiam, principalmente pela TV Globo, pois como eu disse a vocês, era a maior e principal emissora no Brasil. Toda noite de segunda a sábado à noite, era sagrado toda a família estar na sala para assistir o Jornal Nacional para saber o que está acontecendo no país e no mundo. A audiência era absurdamente alta.
Não é à toa, pois desde muito tempo, a empresa Globo já buscava sempre melhorar sua transmissão e procurava a melhor tecnologia da época para chegar nas casas uma transmissão com a tela bem limpa e clara, pois diferente das outras concorrentes, era bastante perceptível essa diferença. Na minha adolescência ficava chateado por não poder assistir uma MTV com a transmissão bem limpa, mas pelo menos eu conseguia ver alguma coisa.
Novelas Para Influenciar e Manipular as Massas
As novelas eram febres no país, desde crianças até idosos ficavam na frente da tela para assistir. Lembro até hoje que uma das novelas em seu último episódio, chamado de Avenida Brasil, possuiu 52 pontos no Ibope, era considerado a maior audiência dos últimos 10 anos, e deixou as ruas das maiores cidades do país desertas.
O Jornal Nacional filmava as ruas e avenidas de algumas capitais e parecia até que era um feriado de tão poucas pessoas na rua. Chegou até ter uma preocupação em caso de apagão por conta da alta quantidade de televisores ligados ao mesmo tempo. Era impressionante o que a novela tinha como influencia na vida de cada brasileiro.
Por falar em influencia, era justamente em novelas e nas transmissões dos telejornais que acontecia a manipulação que muito das vezes era velada e quase imperceptível, pois na época eu não conseguia identificar e só muito tempo depois que comecei a abrir os olhos e foi a internet que ajudou não só a mim, mas muitas pessoas dessa manipulação.
O Início da Internet e a Queda da Mídia Tradicional
Felizmente a internet chegou e mesmo que as redes sociais ainda estavam engatinhando, já era visível que a forma de como passamos nosso tempo livre mudaria consideravelmente. O entretenimento mudaria com a chegada do Youtube e de outras redes sociais como Orkut e Facebook.
É incrível o alcance que a internet pode chegar até você independente de qualquer notícia queira saber. Enquanto que a informação descentralizada e distribuída avançava na casa das pessoas, a TV já não era algo tão favorita para qualquer pessoa buscar se atualizar ou mesmo quisesse entretenimento, pois a internet já disponibilizava isso independente da hora que você acessa.
As eleições de 2018 foram um ápice de que a mídia tradicional estava fracassando em seu propósito, pois sempre o governo e mídia estavam de mãos dadas para suas manipulações e graças à internet, um candidato de direita foi eleito mesmo que tivesse apenas segundos para promover sua candidatura pela TV enquanto os outros candidatos tinham minutos suficientes para convencer seus eleitores.
O que diferenciou em sua candidatura foi que a internet foi o seu palco para que os eleitores pudessem ver e comprovar o que o futuro presidente queria. Enfim, desde aquela época, era nítido que a TV já não era um veículo de comunicação predominante e a centralização e manipulação pela TV Globo estava cada vez mais perdendo forças.
X Como Refúgio e A Luta Contra A Censura
Recentemente, o X, o antigo Twitter estar sendo meu lugar preferido para conseguir me atualizar nas notícias daqui e do mundo quando frequento a Web 2.0. Mas talvez você deve estar ciente da perseguição que muitos jornalistas e políticos estão sofrendo censura por conta de um ministro da suprema corte do Brasil. Infelizmente estamos diante de uma ditadura velada e na TV as pessoas não fazem ideia do que de fato está acontecendo aqui.
Muito pelo contrário, a mídia tradicional mesmo enfraquecida ainda consegue distorcer os fatos e faz com que as pessoas ainda acreditem no que elas querem. Infelizmente ainda vai demorar alguns anos até que mais pessoas possam estar conectadas ao ponto de perceber a diferença que é quando você está por dentro através da internet.
Concluindo
A jornada ainda será longa, mas tenho certeza de que mais pessoas possam acordar para a realidade e comecem a perceber o quanto que a mídia vendida pode ser prejudicial até para uma nação. Infelizmente muitos jornalistas independente de sua ideologia política estão coniventes de serem manipuladores e não de fato estudaram para serem imparciais e buscarem sempre a verdade.
Com a entrada da Web 3.0, temos mais essa “arma” para que mais pessoas possam acordar e estarem menos dependentes de certas influencias onde as pessoas são ainda facilmente enganadas até mesmo pela internet. Bem, essa luta é algo que ainda irá durar muito ou talvez sempre irá existir. Basta a pessoa ter a percepção de qual lado é de fato verdadeiro.
A TV como conhecíamos em 20 ou 30 anos já não é mais o mesmo e talvez num futuro não tão distante, esse tipo de entretenimento não irá mais existir ou quem sabe será muito, mas muito reduzido quase que insignificante, pois as próximas gerações não irão crescer sendo influenciados pela mídia tradicional então não serão facilmente manipulados e assim poderemos ver a morte e a extinção da TV como conhecemos hoje.
