Latin vibes this #ttt with Mon Laferte
Hello, Hivers and music lovers!
I hope you all had a great Tuesday!!! Here the day is not over yet, so I'm still in time to share some tunes and join the #threetunetuesday initiative started by @ablaze.
And this week I stick to more Latin vibes. This time I'll share some tunes by Chilean-Mexican singer and composer Mon Laferte.
I thought of doing a #ttt of her since yesterday I listened to a single she recently released, and that will be included in her new album coming out next month.
But before I get into the tunes, let me give you a little background for those of you who aren't familiar with #threetunetuesday. In the words of @ablaze, who started the initiative.
The jist is as follows
Every Tuesday I'm going to share 3 songs which I like to listen to and I invite your feedback in the comments below. Better still, why not have a blast of your own Three Tune Tuesday and mention me in the post and I'll come and find the post and upvote it. If you could also use #ttt or #threetunetuesday tags that would be great. It'll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music. You'll also be in with a chance of winning the prize - more on that later.
You can find out more at ablaze's post with his recommendations for this week the #123.
And without further ado, let's go with the tunes.
Tune 1 - Mon Laferte - Tenochtitlán
The song in question that I mentioned at the beginning is called Tenochtitlán, a single that she has just released, which will be part of her new album. The song is a mix of trip hop, electronic music, with mariachis and bolero.
I liked it, and also the video for the song I think is good.
Tune 2 - Mon Laferte - Tu Falta De Querer
Tu Falta de Querer was the first song I heard from this artist back in the day.
This song was her first big hit and the one that brought her international fame. It was released in 2015.
Tune 3 - Mon Laferte and Juanes - Amárrame
One of the things that characterize this singer is the incursion into different musical genres and the fusion of them.
The third song I have chosen is a cumbia. It is a collaboration of Mon Laferte with the Colombian singer and composer Juanes. This song in 2017 won the Latin Grammy for best alternative song.
In order not to lose the habit, and if you like the Tiny Desk Concerts as much as I do, here is the link to Mon Laferte's one
Have you ever listened to Mon Laferte before? Which of the three songs do you like the most? Tell me in the comments.
Thank you very much for reading!
Enjoy the music, and enjoy life!

Great selection, I do not know too much latin music, so it is good to hear something new. I think all 3 sounded quite good, but I think the first one was the best for me.
The first song is also the one I think is the best. Although, I like the rhythm of the third one. But in the first, it´s seen she has matured as an artist.
Thanks for stopping by:) Happy day!
Super Eli the Tiny Desk concert Queen
Well Mon Laferte I thought I had never heard of before ...
However Tu Falta De Querer seems very familiar!
@deraaa here you go and practise your Spanish with some vids that would be right up your street!
Hola hola, Super Ed!
Maybe if you were in Spain in 2015 when the song came out you heard it. It was quite successful at the time.
OHHH @deraaa está queriendo aprender Español? Cuando quiera practicamos 😉😄
Aha look at you, clever Super Eli, that would explain it!
Oh no!!! Tengo!!!!!! I am sure he dragged me into this. Did you just speak Mathematics?
Haha!! Sure, he did 😂 But why not seriously? You can learn to speak Spanish ;)
Yes. It is right on my to-do list. I just need to work it out with time. Hehehe
Leemao! I saw something else on first read🤣
haha you farter!
How are you dear friend @coquicoin good morning
I love this week's choice. I had read about this artist, but to be honest I had not heard her songs. Of the three videos you show us, the one I liked the most is the one she sings as a duet with Juanes.
I appreciate that you share this musical selection and make our mornings happy, I like to start the day listening to good music
Have a great day
That song with Juanes has a very catchy rhythm, right? I like it a lot.
Thanks for stopping by! And happy night, @jlufer 🤗
