Series Review: One Piece (2023)

Summary:

"One Piece" follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy, a young and ambitious pirate with the ability to stretch his body like rubber after eating a Devil Fruit. Luffy sets out on a grand journey to find the ultimate treasure known as the "One Piece" and become the Pirate King. To achieve his dream, he assembles a diverse wacky and loyal crew known as the Straw Hat Pirates.

Good

• Accuracy to the Source Material is 70:30 and it is great watch if you are the fan of the Anime
• A Streamline Story and the perfect utilization of the the longer 50-40 min mark
  • It truncates all Arcs: Romance Dawn, Orange Town Arc, Shortcuting to the Syrup Village Arc
    and stringing it together with Arlong Park.
• The Stylization of the Live Action; It kinda reminded me of Live Action Movie of The Flinstones and Robin Williams Peter Pan. It really jives together to make it a very better series.
• Its far more vibrant than your other Live Action Adaptation from Netflix OF ALL PLACES!

Bad

• Certain story beats from the Anime did not made it to the live action
• Certain camera angles can be awkward but majority of them are barely noticeable.
