Hello friends, welcome to my blog and I am back again with the review of an interesting movie titled "Gone girl".

The movie was released in 2014 and was seen by many as a psychological thriller. The main characters were Ben Affleck, staring as Nick Dunne , and Rosamund Pike staring as Amy Elliot-Dunne , Nick's Dunne wife.

The couple were seen as seemlesly perfect and had enjoyed a good marriage until their 5th wedding anniversary when Amy disappeared mysteriously.

It became worse for Nick Dunne when he became a prime suspect for investigation as evidence were pointing towards his direction.

At first , Nick showed concern about bringing his wife back home , he worked hand in hand with detectives in other to ensure the safe return if his wife. But along the line , things started falling apart ,his affair with a young woman was revealed, his indifferent attitude, and a diary left behind by Amy which she carefully and intentionally painted Nick as abusive.

The biggest supprise was yet to come as it was later known that Amy is alive, her disappearance was intentionally and carefully orchestrated by her in other to frame her husband for her disappearance and eventually murder, she even went as far as manipulating the media and public opinion against her husband

Deep into the movie, Amy's plan began to unravel when she came in contact with Desi collings (Neil Patrick Harris) who was an ex boyfriend but an obsessive one . Amy took refuge in his house which is a lonely lake house.

It later dawned on her that she has lost total control over the situation and in an attempt to regain it back , she killed Desi collings then returned home while covered in blood making claims that she was kidnapped.

She was seen as a heronine who fought her way back to her marriage, while her husband was trapped in the web of the deceptive characters of his wife.

Filled with suspense, masterpiece of manipulation, mind games , these are the kind of things that will leave you mouth open.

This was actually my first movie if Rosamund Pike , she actually played her character as Amy , a woman I admired get twisted genius for the dangerously brilliancy she portrayed.

How powerful, the opinion of the media is especially when it comes to shaping the perception of the public was shown by this movie, Based on the Media propaganda, almost every body turned against Nick.

The soundtrack was also something to write home about

This movie is a masterpiece that will make you question reality.

Thriller are one of my best genre in movies, and seeing these characters I believe they'll definitely deliver a good job. Nice review

I need to give it a rewatch, David Fincher is a genius.

PD: if you enjoyed Rosamund Pike performance give it a chance to "I care a lot", it's a solid film.
