People have more and more fragmented time these days. Most literary fiction is hardly read anymore. Even the TV series and movies adapted from these novels, two to ten hours, people feel that the time is too long. Now it is popular to watch a movie in 10 minutes on Tiktok and video platforms. To be honest, this is a very bad phenomenon.

According to Austrian economics, the more complex the production and the more time-consuming the process, the better the product. So, you need entrepreneurs to manage investments and do things that have low time preferences. This is actually understandable, the better it is, the longer its time preference, the longer it will take to produce it. But capitalists also need to follow consumer preferences. When most people prefer instant consumption, producers do not spend more time elaborating. This is also a lot of today's film and television works, viewing far less than ten years, or even 20 years ago.

Even the few that are currently great are often sequels, remakes or nods to previous classics. I have been watching a classic European and American horror film "The Omen" prequel these two days, it is ashamed to say that it is difficult to escape the custom, I also watched through the video of the movie explanation.

However, although the same is the movie commentary, some UP the main is to keep a running account of the set template, what attention "look at the boy called small handsome, the girl called small beauty" and such words. But some UP masters are very diligent in making commentary programs. The one I chose is a UP master named "Vasabi Catching Horses". Her movie commentary is very good, and she often explains some horror movies. Many of these European and American horror movies are related to European and American religions and folk traditions, which are unknown to Chinese audiences. Even if you watch the original film, you may not have a good viewing experience. The UP Lord was able to interpret the background behind it in great detail. And her entire film, edited down, is nearly half an hour long. So in addition to the scary scene in the film, the thriller feeling is less, and the understanding of the story is even better than watching the original film.

The story of this film is not entirely original, the original film is a classic horror film made in the 1970s. And I've never seen The original Omen, either. But since it's a prequel, it's okay not to have seen the original movie. The film tells the story of an out-of-town nun who enters a prestigious convent as an intern in Rome in the 1960s. Under the surface of religious fraternity, this monastery hides the dark truth, which is still quite shocking. A Western film can shoot a church like this. In modern China, there have been an endless number of teaching plans with great historical influence due to the missionary work of the church, such as the Tianjin teaching case, which were all caused by the spread of conspiracy theories related to the Catholic Church and the church.

But compared with the imagination of the film, the rumors about the Catholic church adopting babies and gouging their eyes to make medicine in recent Chinese history are still a little small. As for the details, we'll talk about them tomorrow.
