When it comes to TV series Korean TV series are quite popular and and it watched all over the world. There is no doubt that Korean actors and actresses touched the hearts of fans all over the world and I am one of them. I started to watch Korean TV series in 2020 and the first Korean TV series that I watched was "Backstreet Rookie" back in 2020 (during the pandemic).

The narrative of this episode is all about the fun, exciting, hilarious, messy, and dramatic life of a part-timer and a convenience store tied up together when the owner hires a part-timer for his convenience store. It is also an episode with lots of twists that make anyone entertained.

What immediately captures my attention is the first-ever scene of Dae-hyun because the ambiance and the environment are so vibrant and the color of the surroundings is very vivid (see image below). This is the kind of first scene that makes me very interested in a series or movies. Needless to say, the series made a bang on its first scenes. And the idea of the kitten being stuck in the sewer is brilliant (I am actually expecting an accident that will make Dae-hyun late for his date).

Aside from the vibrant and colorful ambiance I also noticed that Dae-hyun is very handsome 😍 (see image below) his attire is perfect for him not only do his sneakers make his attire casual looking than semi-formal. The background music while he is trying to rescue a cat from the sewer is also very fit for the situation. Background music does have a huge impact on the scenes if I am going to like the series or not. In the case of "Backstreet Rookie" the background music so far is excellent. The sound effects on each situation are also very likable.

Then there's the first scene of Saet-byul (see image below), the ambiance is also amazing, and the background is also very very nice and is very fit with the situation. Her first scene which is running to attend to her friends is brilliant which is also the first time that they (Saet-byul and Dae-hyun) will ever meet. The idea of them running together to their intended destination and then slightly bumping into each other is brilliant.

Their first encounter gave me giggles as both of them ran through each other while running to their intended destination (see images below). The scene actually feels me a teenager once again, both of them are cute, and I should add that Dae-hyun is so handsome and delicate while Saet-byul is very rugged and strong.

Then there's the surprise to the series that I don't think of, the character of Han Dal-sik (see image below). Han Dal-sik is an erotica webtoon creator who is a friend of Dae-Hyun and lives adjacent to the convenience store. It is revealed that Dal-sik is a friend of Dae-hyun who always shows up when Dae-hyun is eating.

All throughout the first episode you are not going to be bored because there are lots of revelations. I think all of the characters were revealed in just the first episode such as the main protagonists: Dae-hyun and Saet-byul, the friends of Saet-byul and her sister. The family members of Dae-hyun and his friend Han Dal-sik,

There are actually a lot of gray areas in the first episode because there are a lot of characters being revealed. there are also a lot of plots that make the series exciting. Even if there are gray areas it makes the viewer like me wonder what would happen next and that's good because it is what makes a series or movie very exciting and you will be excited for the next episode.

It is so amazing that all of the plots and revelations that I mentioned above were fitted in under an hour of the first episode. I commend the editing because they did a great job in putting the pieces together and still ended up great, funny, and exciting.

From the looks to things around the convenience store, this series is big budgeted because you do not see any dead spots around the convenience most of the scenes around the convenience store all the store around it are very alive and a lot of people can be seen near all of the store a testament to the style of movie-making from the director of the series which is very amazing because the first episode came super amazing! The actors and actresses are amazing too! The plot is also amazing, the fact that there is a three-year gap in the plot makes it more exciting.

All in all the first episode is super amazing, it started with a bang and ended with a bang. All the actors are amazing too! And Dae-hyun is super handsome 😍 and looks very easy to go along. Of course, Saet-byul is pretty too!. The plot of this episode is amazing, the filmmaking is outstanding, and the editing is great too! The costume is nice.

If you are looking into something that is not Western this series is for you. It has all the elements, handsome actors, pretty actresses, great acting, great filmmaking, great ambiance, nice background music, and sound effects. The friendship, the family, the struggle, the forming love, it got it all.

Dae-hyun easily became one of my favorite Korean actors, he is just handsome and is a bit fragile (in the series I think). His character is raw and one can see that is not very seasoned in this series which is amazing because it fits with the character of his leading lady who is strong steadfast and principled.

I do recommend this series, I am sure you are going to like it right from the beginning, you will feel teenager again in this movie and I am sure you are going to feel a lot of giggles on this one 😁 (especially if you are a girl).
