Series Review: The Office - An unconventional place [ENG/ESP]
Hello to everyone in the Movies & TV Shows community! Today I bring you a new series recommendation. This time we will be talking about one of NBC's most famous and successful comedy series. It is The Office, who with 9 seasons brought us many laughs and joy, thanks to the absurd and delirious situations that occur within the regional office of Dunder Mifflin, dedicated to the distribution of sheets of paper. So here I will give you my first impressions about the series and three reasons to watch it if you haven't done it yet.

Esta vez estaremos hablando sobre una de las series cómicas más famosas y exitosas de la NBC. Se trata de The Office, quién con 9 temporadas nos trajo muchas risas y alegría, gracias a las situaciones absurdas y delirantes que ocurren dentro de la oficina regional de Dunder Mifflin, dedicada a la distribución de folios de papel. Así que aquí les daré mis primeras impresiones sobre la serie y tres razones para verla sí aún no lo has hecho.
Not a boring office: located in Scranton, Philadelphia, USA, is the Dunder Mifflin building. With a dull-looking office (with gray walls and furniture), being quite conventional, you will find an unconventional work team. It might seem that 9 seasons is too much for a comedy in an office, but The Office proves that it is possible to make the most of it, because who gives life to the space (and to the stories), are its funny characters. In all the chapters we will have strange situations to solve and in which the work team will be forced to witness/participate thanks to the witticisms of their boss, Michael Scott. Which leads to the next point.
Una oficina nada aburrida: ubicada en Scranton, Filadelfia, Estados Unidos, se encuentra el edificio de Dunder Mifflin. Con una oficina de apariencia aburrida (de paredes y muebles grises), siendo bastante convencional, se encuentra un equipo de trabajo nada convencional. Podría parecer que 9 temporadas es demasiado para una comedia dentro de una oficina, pero vaya que The Office demuestra que se le puede sacar provecho porque quién le da vida al espacio (y a las historias), son sus graciosos personajes. En todos los capítulos tendremos situaciones extrañas que resolver y en la que el equipo de trabajo se verán obligados a presenciar/participar gracias a las ocurrencias de su jefe, Michael Scott. Lo que lleva al siguiente punto.
An unhinged boss: there in that small office is the regional manager of the place, Michael Scott (starring Steve Carell), a man with a particular personality; he is extravagant, knows no limits, is reckless, a bit of a misfit, quite charismatic and above all, loyal. He will be the one who will put everyone in trouble thanks to his bad ideas and decisions. A leader who will make us feel sorry for him every time he opens his mouth. But make no mistake, Michael can be anything but a noble-hearted guy who loves and would do anything for his office staff. Except for Tobi in Human Resources. Un jefe desquiciado: allí en esa pequeña oficina está el gerente regional del lugar, Michael Scott (protagonizado por Steve Carell), un hombre con una personalidad particular; es extravagante, no conoce sobre límites, es imprudente, un tanto inadaptado, bastante carismático y por sobre todo, leal. Será quien ponga a todos en aprietos gracias a sus malas ideas y decisiones. Un líder para nada sensato que nos hará sentir pena ajena cada que abre la boca. Pero no se equivoquen, Michael puede ser cualquier cosa pero es un tipo de corazón noble que ama y haría cualquier cosa por su personal de oficina. Excepto a Tobi, el de Recursos Humanos. Gracias a Steve Carell tenemos algunos grandes memes.
Special work staff: when I say that every character in The Office is indispensable I mean that every single one of them is really important. They all serve a function that maintains the balance in the office. From the most sensible character to the most outdated and yet none of them seem normal enough and that's the fun of it. They fit together very well. It feels strange when one of the cast doesn't participate in an episode, because it's inevitable not to get attached to them and their charms. As I said, each one of them is important as the chemistry the actors have on screen is unique.
Personal de trabajo especial: cuando digo que cada personaje en The Office es indispensable me refiero a que cada uno de ellos es realmente importante. Todos cumplen una función que mantiene el equilibrio en la oficina. Desde el personaje más sensato hasta el más desfasado y sin embargo, ninguno parece lo bastante normal y eso es lo divertido del caso. Encajan muy bien. Se siente extraño cuando uno de los del reparto no participan en algún capítulo, pues es inevitable no apegarnos a ellos y sus encantos. Cómo dije, cada uno de ellos es importante pues la química que los actores tienen en pantalla es única.
A plus is that the story is filmed as a mockumentary, where several times we will see the actors looking at the screen. It is the portrait of a crazy comedy. And it also feels like a much more honest reality show than any other (if Dundler Mifflin's world really existed). It's a satire about the world of commerce, being a leader, working for hours in an office and so on. Maybe that's why everyone is looking to have fun in the office. So you know what they say "your workplace is your second home" and at Dundler Mifflin, everyone seems to feel the same way. Finally, I hope you have taken a look at the series. Un plus, es que La historia es grabada cómo falso documental, dónde varias veces veremos a los actores mirar a la pantalla. Es el retrato de una comedia alocada. Y también se siente cómo un reality show mucho más honesto que cualquier otro (sí es que en realidad existiera el mundo de Dundler Mifflin). Es una satira sobre el mundo del comercio, ser un líder, trabajar por horas en una oficina y demás. Quizás por eso todos buscan divertirse en la oficina. Así que ya saben lo que dicen "tú lugar de trabajo es tú segundo hogar" y en Dundler Mifflin, todos parecen opinar lo mismo. Finalmente, espero que hayan a darle un vistazo a la serie. The office es sin duda una de mis series favoritas de comedia, es demasiado genial y original, además de que tiene un estilo de humor que a mi en lo personal me encanta!
