A documentary that touches the soul: Take care of Maya [ESP/ING]

Siempre me han llamado la atención los documentales, considero que siempre muestran realidades o infromación de un tema en especifico, hace poco estaba bsucando algo que ver en Netflitx y me tope con este documental, la verdad es que después de verlo, me di cuenta que muchas personas estaban esperandolo, en mi caso fue todo casualidad, pero una muy buena, porque me toque con una historia que vale la pena.
Cuiden a Maya nos trae la historia de la familia Kowalski, quienes se enfrentan a la enfermedad de Maya de tan solo 9 años comienza a tener sintomas extraños y poco conocida, ante esta situación, sus padres buscan de una u otra forma especialistas que le den una esperanza para los dolores de su hija. Sin embargo, en este camino se enfrentan al Estado, puesto que, se les acusa de inventar la enfermedad de su hija.
I have always been interested in documentaries, I think they always show realities or information on a specific topic, recently I was looking for something to watch on Netflitx and I came across this documentary, the truth is that after watching it, I realized that many people were waiting for it, in my case it was all chance, but a very good one, because I came across a story that is worth it.
Cuiden a Maya brings us the story of the Kowalski family, who are faced with the illness of Maya, who is only 9 years old and begins to have strange symptoms and little known, in this situation, her parents seek in one way or another specialists to give them hope for the pains of their daughter. However, in this way they face the State, since they are accused of inventing their daughter's illness.
Esta es una historia realmente desgarradora, al principio hasta llegue a pensar que tenía un poco de exageración, eso me llevo a la investigación, y en ella me di cuenta que todo es 100% real, lo cual te toca todas las fibras, inicialmente conoces una pequeña Maya que se enfrenta a dolores muy fuertes en su cuerpo, puedes sentir la desesperación de sus padres. En ese momento, Maya es diagnosticada con Síndrome de Dolor Regional Complejo, enfermedad a la cual se le desconoce la causa.
Con Maya intentan algunos tratamientos y llegan a Hospital Infantil Johns Hopkins en Florida, pero, lejos de conseguir una mejoría para la niña, consiguen un enorme problema: y es que el estado toma la custodia de Maya por un supuesto maltrato infantil. En esta situación la familia se tiene que enfrentar a diversas situaciones que lejos de ayudarlos, empeoran el estafo fisico y emocional de la familia.
El documental centra cronologicamente todos los hechos, me gusta que cuidan todos los detalles de la información y por supuesto que las declaraciones de la familia es lo que termina sustentando la historia por completo, así como también el panel de especialistas que colocan alrededor de todo el caso, aporta mucho para hilar todos los acontecimientos de Maya.
This is a really heartbreaking story, at first I even thought it was a bit exaggerated, that led me to the investigation, and in it I realized that everything is 100% real, which touches all your heartstrings, initially you meet a little Maya who faces very strong pains in her body, you can feel the desperation of her parents. At that moment, Maya is diagnosed with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, a disease whose cause is unknown.
With Maya they try some treatments and arrive at Johns Hopkins Children's Hospital in Florida, but, far from getting an improvement for the girl, they get a huge problem: the state takes custody of Maya for alleged child abuse. In this situation the family has to face several situations that far from helping them, worsen the family's physical and emotional situation.
The documentary focuses chronologically all the facts, I like that they take care of all the details of the information and of course the statements of the family is what ends up supporting the story completely, as well as the panel of specialists who placed around the whole case, contributes much to spin all the events of Maya.
Este documental no solo te mueve muchas emociones también genera opiniones, personalmente me impresiono demasiado la actitud del Estado y lo que genera un sistema que muchas veces responde de una forma automatica, siendo injisto muchas veces con personas que de por si, sufren mucho. Tampoco logras entender cómo se cambia la vida de personas con poder que debería usarse en defensa de ellos, hay consecuencias tan fuertes en esta familia, que genera impotencia solo de verlo, realmente conectas con esta historia.
Cuiden a Maya me hizo llorar a mares, es una historia que merece justicia y para mi como familia dieron un paso muy importante, hoy muchas personas en el mundo conocen su historia que aunque desgarradora, merece defensa y con la difusión de su caso, ojala algún día tengan justicia. Por mi parte, tengo que recomendarles a todos que miren este documental, merece la pena.
This documentary not only moves you many emotions but also generates opinions, personally I was very impressed with the attitude of the State and what generates a system that often responds in an automatic way, being unfair many times with people who in itself, suffer a lot. You also fail to understand how to change the lives of people with power that should be used in defense of them, there are such strong consequences in this family, that generates impotence just to see it, you really connect with this story.
Cuiden a Maya made me cry my eyes out, it is a story that deserves justice and for me as a family they took a very important step, today many people in the world know their story that although heartbreaking, deserves defense and with the diffusion of their case, hopefully someday they will have justice. For my part, I have to recommend everyone to watch this documentary, it is worth it.
