This movie was quite exciting and enjoyable and with that being said, I rate this movie a [7/10] and that is my sincere response/opinion to how I feel about the movie "MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING 3"

Yeah, it's been a month of sequels. As you can probably guess, this is the 3rd installment of the My Big Fat Greek Wedding franchise. Looks like Nia Vardalos needed to pay some bills as MBFGW 2 was released in 2006. Perhaps her divorce in 2018 cost her some money.

The most surprising part of this movie is that they got the cast to come back 17 years later for a sequel.

The movie begins with a montage of the first two movies punctuated with pictures of Gus who has passed away. Toula is tasked with going to Greece to deliver Gus's journal to his best friends. Toula and the gang head to Greece where they are met by the Mayor of Gus's village and when they arrive they discover that it's now a ghost town.

They are greeted by an old scary Greek woman that turns out to be Gus's old flame and the mother of Toula's brother that no one knew existed. Seems Gus was a bit of a player. All of Gus's friends have moved away, the Mayor is trying to create a huge reunion to save the village, chaos ensues.

It's a fairly fun, wholesome movie interjected with snippets of the sterotypical greek family vibe that we've all enjoyed from the previous movies. Neither Nia Vardalos (61) nor John Corbett (62) appear to have aged at all and they slipped into their characters like comfortable shoes. It's hard to believe that so much time has passed since the last movies.

FUN: Enjoyable. The Greek Family Quirks get a bit old, particularly Andrea Martin's character, but overall, it's a fun ride.
Preachy: It's mostly about family. However, they do attempt to please the LGBTQ+ crowd by hinting that the mayor, an obvious woman with questionable sexuality is part of that crowd.

Even to the point where during a dance where the men and women are in separate groups doing different dance moves, she goes back and forth dancing on both sides. It's not overbearing and somewhat explainable as her just being the overzealous tour guide mayor trying to get everyone to like the village and want to stay.

What do you think about my review? Is it honesty enough? Or do you think I'm missing out on something? This movie was quite an easy catch for me watching it with a popcorn by my side. I think another thing I like about the movie is the politeness in it.

wow, there's 3 of these? I had no idea. I never even saw the first one but didn't it win a bunch of awards? Seems like it was a long time ago.
