Wonka movie review. [ENG-ESP]
Las opciones para ver en el cine en esta época del año parecían limitadas, cuando llegamos a buscar las entradas y ver la cartelera, sólo nos llamaron la atención la segunda parte de Aquaman y Wonka, así que finalmente nos decidimos por esta última, ya que había visto el trailer y me había parecido divertida y con una historia nueva, con personajes conocidos.
Aunque es inevitable no hacer algún tipo de comparación con las anteriores entregas, porque realmente me pareció bastante diferente a la versión presentada por Tim Burton en 2005 protagonizada por Johnny Depp, aunque en el trailer ya se explicaba que es la historia del joven Willy Wonka antes de convertirse en el dueño de la gran empresa chocolatera y conocer a los Oompa-Loompas.
En esta versión Wonka no es tan excéntrico como en la anterior película, ni está tan traumatizado como en la anterior, es más, es una persona noble, soñadora, dulce y crédula. Pero no me gustaría basar todo mi post en comparaciones, sino centrarme en lo que me ha parecido esta película.
The options to see at the movies at this time of the year seemed limited, when we arrived to look for the tickets and see the billboard, only the second part of Aquaman and Wonka caught our attention, so we finally decided for the latter, since I had seen the trailer and I had found it funny and with a new story, with familiar characters.
Although it is inevitable not to make some kind of comparison with the previous installments, because it really seemed to me quite different from the version presented by Tim Burton in 2005 starring Johnny Depp, although the trailer already explained that it is the story of young Willy Wonka before becoming the owner of the big chocolate company and meeting the Oompa-Loompas.
In this version Wonka is not as eccentric as in the previous film, nor is he as traumatized as in the previous one, moreover, he is a noble, dreamy, sweet and gullible person. But I would not like to base my whole post on comparisons, but focus on what I found in this film.

Desde pequeño fue un amante del chocolate y su madre le mimaba y apoyaba con las posibilidades que tenían, pero cuando ella fallece sin poder compartir con él el secreto del mejor chocolate y dándole la esperanza de volver a estar juntos en el futuro, esta esperanza lleva a este joven a viajar por el mundo en busca de nuevos ingredientes para preparar esos chocolates diferentes y extraordinarios que le harán famoso y que le permitirán volver a ver a su madre.
Cuando llega a una famosa ciudad chocolatera donde espera convertirse en un gran chocolatero, no es bien recibido por los empresarios que tienen el monopolio del negocio. Además, sus pocos recursos económicos no le duran más de un día, lo que le obliga a firmar un contrato fraudulento que le mantiene trabajando en una lavandería junto a un grupo de otras 4 personas, que han pasado por la misma necesidad que él.
Wonka, played by Timothée Chalamet. He is a young man with a big dream to share with the world his talent as a magician, inventor and chocolatier. Since childhood he was a chocolate lover and his mother spoiled him and supported him with the possibilities they had, but when she dies without being able to share with him the secret of the best chocolate and giving him the hope of being together again in the future, this hope leads this young man to travel the world in search of new ingredients to prepare those different and extraordinary chocolates that will make him famous and that will allow him to see his mother again.
When he arrives in a famous chocolate city where he hopes to become a great chocolatier, he is not well received by the businessmen who have a monopoly on the business. In addition, his few economic resources do not last him more than a day, which forces him to sign a fraudulent contract that keeps him working in a laundry along with a group of 4 other people, who have gone through the same need as him.
En este lugar conoce a Noodle (Calah Lane) una chica que ha sido abandonada en este lugar y que también vive y trabaja para pagar el privilegio de estar viva. Ella no tiene esperanzas pero con la llegada de Willy, una vibra positiva despierta en todos y los motiva a buscar una solución para pagar la gran deuda que tienen con la señora Scrubbit (Olivia Colman), una mujer despiadada que los tiene trabajando como esclavos en la lavandería para pagar una deuda que firmaron con engaños.
A pesar de todos los contratiempos que podrían sumir a cualquiera en la depresión, Wonka continúa con la idea de cumplir su sueño y ahora con la ayuda de sus amigos y sus habilidades como mago, inventor y chocolatero luchará por conseguir ese objetivo.
In this place he meets Noodle (Calah Lane) a girl who has been abandoned in this place and who also lives and works to pay for the privilege of being alive. She has no hope but with Willy’s arrival, a positive vibe awakens in everyone and motivates them to look for a solution to pay the big debt they have with Mrs. Scrubbit (Olivia Colman), a ruthless woman who has them working as slaves in the laundry to pay a debt they signed with deceit.
Despite all the setbacks that could plunge anyone into depression, Wonka continues with the idea of fulfilling his dream and now with the help of his friends and his skills as a magician, inventor and chocolatier he will fight to achieve that goal.
Me gustó esta película porque nos muestra otra faceta del famoso chocolatero Willy Wonka, lo conocemos como excéntrico pero aquí lo que más destaca de su personaje es su humanidad, es un personaje que quiere hacer feliz al mundo con sus extravagantes creaciones que llevan a los consumidores por un mundo de sabores únicos.
Es un joven inocente y un amigo leal. Me encantó la actuación de Timothée Chalamet, este chico es muy simpático y se nota en la pantalla, en todos los cameos se le ve genial con una sonrisa que inspira tranquilidad, pero también podemos sentir cuando estaba preocupado o triste, eso demuestra que es una de las figuras jóvenes del momento.
I liked this movie because it shows us another facet of the famous chocolatier Willy Wonka, we know him as eccentric but here what stands out the most about his character is his humanity, he is a character who wants to make the world happy with his extravagant creations that take consumers through a world of unique flavors.
He is an innocent young man and a loyal friend. I loved Timothée Chalamet’s performance, this guy is very nice and it shows on the screen, in all the cameos he looks great with a smile that inspires tranquility, but we can also feel when he was worried or sad, it shows that he is one of the young figures of the moment.
El reparto de esta película es de primera categoría, me gustó ver al famoso actor cómico Rowan Atkinson conocido por sus papeles de Ms Bean y Johnny English. Hugh Grant interpreta al primer Oompa-Loompa que entra en contacto con Willy, es un hombrecillo naranja con el pelo verde que lleva 4 años persiguiendo a Wonka por una buena razón.
Los tres villanos son personajes un poco caricaturescos, más que el resto de personajes y sinceramente el musical a cargo de estos tres es el que menos me ha gustado.
Aunque en el tráiler oficial no hay canción, se ve a los actores bailando y resulta que lo primero que escuchamos en la película es una canción, siempre he dicho que no soy fan de los musicales pero me he dado cuenta que últimamente no me desagradan mucho.
Aquí los musicales son preciosos, la iluminación y los colores hacen que parezcan mágicos, las letras de las canciones son tan nostálgicas que te hacen sentir romántico y alegre al mismo tiempo. En particular dos musicales me encantaron, el primero en el que participan Wonka y Noodle y en el que Wonka piensa que su sueño se ha hecho realidad, es un musical precioso.
The cast of this movie is top notch, I enjoyed seeing the famous comic actor Rowan Atkinson known for his roles as Ms Bean and Johnny English. Hugh Grant plays the first Oompa-Loompa who comes in contact with Willy, he is a little orange man with green hair who has been chasing Wonka for 4 years for a good reason.
The three villains are a bit cartoonish characters, more so than the rest of the characters and honestly the musical in charge of these three is the one I liked the least.
Although in the official trailer there is no song, you see the actors dancing and it turns out that the first thing we hear in the movie is a song, I have always said that I am not a fan of musicals but I have realized that lately I do not dislike them very much.
Here the musicals are beautiful, the lighting and colors make them look magical, the lyrics of the songs are so nostalgic that they make you feel romantic and joyful at the same time. In particular two musicals I loved, the first one involving Wonka and Noodle where Wonka thinks his dream has come true, it’s a beautiful musical.
Si vas a ver esta película es mejor que lo hagas sin comparar a los personajes, sé que en las redes sociales ha habido campañas de comparaciones en cuanto al aspecto físico de los tres actores que han interpretado a Willy Wonka, pero esta película es diferente y por eso tienes que verla, te aseguro que así la disfrutarás mucho más.
If you are going to see this movie it is better that you do it without comparing the characters, I know that in social networks there have been campaigns of comparisons regarding the physical appearance of the three actors who have played Willy Wonka, but this movie is different and that’s why you have to see it, I assure you that you will enjoy it much more.
Me alegra saber que vale la pena ver esta nueva versión. La protagonizada por Jhonny Deep me encanta, así de simple. Es una belleza de película como muchas lecciones de vida. Espero ver esta versión. Gracias por tomarte el tiempo y resumir la nueva historia.

Quiero ver esta película! El trailer también lo he visto y me causó intriga y tal como lo expresas, creo que lo que motiva a ver esta peli es la nueva adaptación que ha hecho Paul King de una historia que fue muy bien contada por Tim Burton y protagonizada por Johnny Depp, como también la primera versión del año 1971 que fue protagonizada por Gene Wilder. Hasta ahora, mi favorita es la versión de Tim Burton jejeje pero hay que ver esta con la mente abierta, ya que hay pequeños detalles que en definitiva, marcan una diferencia

Hola, claro. Es una historia nueva y como dije aquí no está traumatizado por el tipo de niñez, es diferente. Por eso dije que no hay que comparar para poder disfrutarla.

No la he visto pero debe ser todo un plus. Ver a Wonka desde otra perspectiva y de una manera más joven lo hace ver mas refrescante. El tema del chocolate siempre será de mi gusto. Mi agrado. :p

Tienes que verla, para mí lo importante es no comparar.

A mi tampoco me agradan los musicales pero voy a verla porque me gustó la primera con Deep.
Está es diferente a la de Johnny Depp pero a mí me gustó.
