Opinion before the last episode of True Detective Night Country. [ENG-ESP]
Hoy podremos ver el último capítulo de la cuarta temporada de True Detective Tierra Nocturna, cuando empezó hace seis semanas, la esperaba con muchas ganas y ese primer capítulo parecía prometedor lleno de cosas diferentes a las temporadas anteriores, empezando por la ambientación y la iluminación. Lo plasmé todo en un post que escribí unos días después del estreno. Pero con este post me gustaría contarles qué me parecieron todos los capítulos siguientes y qué podía esperar de este último.
Today we will be able to see the last chapter of the fourth season of True Detective Night Land, when it started six weeks ago, I was looking forward to it and that first chapter seemed promising full of different things from previous seasons, starting with the setting and lighting. I captured it all in a post I wrote a few days after the premiere. But with this post I would like to tell you what I thought of all the following chapters and what I could expect from this last one.
Utilizar Alaska en la época de diciembre donde la oscuridad se apodera de la zona, para mi fue un acierto total y aumentó la atmósfera de misterio, las escenas transcurren en la oscuridad aunque sean las 8 de la mañana o las 3 de la tarde, para esto la iluminación y el uso de los colores es muy importante y el hecho de que podamos apreciar cada escena aunque los personajes estén en medio del hielo con un par de lámparas, me pareció increíble. Como lo fue la inclusión de temas de creencias culturales de los nativos y la lucha contra la contaminación ambiental causada por las grandes empresas mineras que son pasadas por alto gracias a sus conexiones y aportes económicos a organizaciones gubernamentales o no gubernamentales.
Todos estos son los ambientes en los que se envuelve la trama principal de esta temporada, que como las demás trata sobre encontrar al culpable de los asesinatos de ocho científicos y una activista que luchaba contra la contaminación producida por la mayor fuente de ingresos de Enis (pueblo de Alaska).
To use Alaska in the time of December where darkness takes over the area, for me was a total success and increased the atmosphere of mystery, the scenes take place in the dark even if it is 8 in the morning or 3 in the afternoon, for this the lighting and the use of colors is very important and the fact that we can appreciate each scene even if the characters are in the middle of the ice with a couple of lamps, I thought it was amazing. As was the inclusion of themes of cultural beliefs of the natives and the fight against environmental pollution caused by large mining companies that are overlooked thanks to their connections and economic contributions to governmental or non-governmental organizations.
All these are the environments in which the main plot of this season is wrapped, which like the others is about finding the culprit of the murders of eight scientists and an activist who were fighting against the pollution produced by the largest source of income of Enis (Alaskan town).
El dúo de detectives me ha parecido excelente, me gusta mucho como se ven estas dos mujeres juntas en pantalla, por momentos parecen amigas y en otros momentos no se soportan, pero eso ya es común entre las protagonistas de esta serie. Sigo pensando que mi personaje favorito es Evangeline Navarro, tiene su carácter pero en los últimos episodios sentimientos como el amor, la ternura, la tristeza, van a más e incluso he llegado a entender por qué es una mujer que no encuentra su lugar, desconfiada y reacia a recibir atención.
En cuanto a Liz Danvers, en cada capítulo demuestra ser un personaje autoritario, es una mujer que siento que no tiene empatía por nada ni por nadie, quiere que su hija esté con ella en ocasiones especiales pero creo que es más por no estar sola que por estar con ella. Pobre Peter Prior que ha tenido que aguantar todas sus exigencias sin derecho a réplica y anteponiendo su trabajo a su familia.
Desde el principio no me fié de Hanks Prior, siempre pensé que era un corrupto y que escondía cosas oscuras aunque a veces con su hijo se mostraba nostálgico y simpático. Y hasta sentí pena por él, cuando tuvo su desengaño amoroso, pensé que debía sentirse muy solo para acudir a ciertas instancias donde conseguir amor. Bueno en realidad todos en esto parecían sufrir de soledad, era un común denominador en casi todos los personajes que se pueden conocer.
As for Liz Danvers, in every chapter she proves to be an authoritarian character, she is a woman who I feel has no empathy for anything or anyone, she wants her daughter to be with her on special occasions but I think it’s more for not being alone than for being with her. Poor Peter Prior who has had to put up with all her demands with no right of reply and putting his job before his family.
From the beginning I didn’t trust Hanks Prior, I always thought he was corrupt and hiding dark things although sometimes with his son he was nostalgic and sympathetic. And I even felt sorry for him, when he had his heartbreak in love, I thought he must feel very lonely to go to certain instances where to get love. Well actually everyone in this one seemed to suffer from loneliness, it was a common denominator in almost all the characters you could meet.
Desde el principio esta serie se enmarcó en un aire misterioso, ahondando en lo paranormal que combinado con las creencias de los indios nativos le daba un toque de suspense e interés por saber si en el resultado final íbamos a encontrar una resolución basada en este aspecto, hasta ahora me ha parecido muy interesante e incluso en alguno de los capítulos me he sentido en una película de terror (teniendo en cuenta que me dan miedo), aunque no todos han sido así, también hay otros en los que los acontecimientos se van presentando muy lentamente e incluso pueden llegar a ser un poco aburridos en algunos momentos, hasta que llegamos al penúltimo capítulo donde no se ha visto nada paranormal, es más todo ha ido hacia un rumbo más humano lleno de maldad y conveniencias.
Qué puedo esperar de este último capítulo, que al igual que el anterior, no se observen sucesos paranormales y las situaciones tengan una explicación científica. Por supuesto esto es una opinión basada en los hechos recientes.
From the beginning this series was framed in a mysterious air, delving into the paranormal that combined with the beliefs of the native Indians gave it a touch of suspense and interest to know if in the final result we were going to find a resolution based on this aspect, so far I have found it very interesting and even in some of the chapters I have felt in a horror movie (taking into account that they scare me), although not all have been like this, there are also others in which the events are presented very slowly and can even become a little boring at times, until we reached the penultimate chapter where nothing paranormal has been seen, it is more everything has gone towards a more human course full of evil and comforts.
What can I expect from this last chapter, that like the previous one, no paranormal events are observed and the situations have a scientific explanation. Of course this is an opinion based on recent events.
It looks like this Detective film will be very exciting to watch, finding the truth about the deaths of several scientists in my opinion is a very interesting main theme in the story.
Hello, yes it is very interesting and already after seeing the last chapter in which I liked it a lot because it kept the paranormal and mystical part as well as the hand of man. In my opinion they managed to combine the two aspects quite well.
