House of the Dragon season 2 with spoilers [ENG-ESP]

As the second season of House of the Dragon began, so it ended. Time went by very fast, the only slow thing is the two years we have to wait between seasons. There is still no resolution of anything although it seems that what became clear in this season is that Rhaenyra is the rightful heir, but we still have two more seasons where countless things can happen, so the end of this story we will know approximately in 2028. Impressive that we wait so long just for one series.

Así como empezó la segunda temporada de House of the Dragon, así terminó. El tiempo pasó muy rápido, lo único lento son los dos años que tenemos que esperar entre una temporada y otra. Todavía no hay resolución de nada aunque parece que lo que quedó claro en esta temporada es que Rhaenyra es la heredera legítima, pero todavía nos quedan dos temporadas más donde pueden pasar infinidad de cosas, así que el final de esta historia lo conoceremos aproximadamente en 2028. Impresionante que esperemos tanto solo por una serie.

I have read several reviews about this season, some found it slow and lacking in action, they wanted to see more dragons fighting, because it is supposed to be a war between a family where the biggest weapon of destruction are the dragons, and although we had those magnificent scenes I think what dominated this season were the strategies. “Only dragons don’t win wars”, although I think they would but they would cause too much destruction which is what our queen didn’t want (I’m team Black). Following the teachings of her father The Peacemaker, she sought other avenues such as psychological warfare, rumors, as well as gaining the support of the people, while still betting on dragons looking for new riders for those left unclaimed. Why these characters were chosen by the dragons, I don’t know, but each of them has a kinship, however distant, with the Targaryens.

All those strategies used by Rhaenyra are also part of the war, but the Greens failed to exploit having the people at home, so to speak. They are more aggressive and Otto Hightower who could execute all those maneuvers was not there because he was displaced, although in the third season I imagine we will see more of his experience in favor of the Greens because we saw him come back in the last scenes.

He leído varias críticas sobre esta temporada, algunos la encontraban lenta y falta de acción, querían ver más dragones luchando, porque se supone que es una guerra entre una familia donde la mayor arma de destrucción son los dragones, y aunque tuvimos esas magníficas escenas creo que lo que dominó esta temporada fueron las estrategias. “Solo los dragones no ganan las guerras”, aunque creo que lo harían pero causarían demasiada destrucción que es lo que nuestra reina no quería (soy del equipo Black). Siguiendo las enseñanzas de su padre El Pacificador, buscó otras vías como la guerra psicológica, los rumores, así como ganarse el apoyo del pueblo, sin dejar de apostar por los dragones buscando nuevos jinetes para los que quedaban sin reclamar. Por qué estos personajes fueron elegidos por los dragones, no lo sé, pero cada uno de ellos tiene un parentesco, por lejano que sea, con los Targaryen.

Todas esas estrategias utilizadas por Rhaenyra también forman parte de la guerra, pero los Verdes no supieron explotar el hecho de tener al pueblo en casa, por así decirlo. Son más agresivos y Otto Hightower que podía ejecutar todas esas maniobras no estaba porque fue desplazado, aunque en la tercera temporada imagino que veremos más de su experiencia a favor de los verdes porque lo vimos volver en las últimas escenas.

Daemon, he had his recognition process which took longer than I would have liked. In this case it seems to me that his stay at Harrenhal was slow to end up discovering that his intentions to betray his wife were wrong. He watched his life go by night after night, he had conversations with the dead explaining the why of things and at the end the most important vision of the whole season where the future we already saw in Game of Thrones is shown.

And speaking of visions, I never thought Helaena had the importance she was given in the last chapters, the conversation and the revelations she made to her brother Aemond left me with my mouth open, I loved this part because it gives the consumer something new to look forward to and then seeing her in Daemon’s vision, it was spectacular.

Daemon, tuvo su proceso de reconocimiento que tardó más de lo que me hubiera gustado. En este caso me parece que su estancia en Harrenhal fue lenta para acabar descubriendo que sus intenciones de traicionar a su esposa eran erróneas. Vio pasar su vida noche tras noche, tuvo conversaciones con los muertos explicando el porqué de las cosas y al final la visión más importante de toda la temporada donde se muestra el futuro que ya vimos en Juego de Tronos.

Y hablando de visiones, nunca pensé que Helaena tuviera la importancia que se le dio en los últimos capítulos, la conversación y las revelaciones que le hizo a su hermano Aemond me dejaron con la boca abierta, me encantó esta parte porque le da al consumidor algo nuevo que esperar y luego verla en la visión de Daemon, fue espectacular.

There are many individual stories that I could talk about because each character had his importance and his moment where we could know him a little more, as in the case of Ser Criston who was not the most beloved character of the first chapters but in a single scene at the end he showed sensitivity and one could say regret. Rhaena does not give up her desire to have a dragon and pursues it whatever it takes, we will see in the next season if she gets it. Rhaenyra had a moment with Mysaria, social networks exploded making speculations and apparently it was just a scene and ready, something that provoked them at the time and everything remained the same.

Finally a pact that will not materialize. Alicent repentant seeks Rhaenyra to deliver the kingdom when his son who by the way every day is crazier, I did not talk about him but I really liked his character in the first season and here he brought out all the evil in his heart in an unintelligent way. Well, the thing is that Alicent pact with Rhaenyra to open the gates when Aemond is not there and pay the betrayal with Aegon “son for son” to be able to leave in peace with Helaena. Pact that will not be fulfilled because we already saw that Aegon left, then we can expect that Helaena’s preaching will be fulfilled in the third or fourth season. It will dawn and we’ll see.

Son muchas las historias individuales de las que podría hablar porque cada personaje tuvo su importancia y su momento donde pudimos conocerlo un poco más, como en el caso de Ser Criston quien no fue el personaje mas querido de los primeros capítulos pero en solo una escena al final mostró sensibilidad y se podría decir que arrepentimiento. Rhaena no abandona sus ganas de tener un dragón y lo persigue sin importar nada, veremos en la próxima temporada si lo consigue. Rhaenyra tuvo un momento con Mysaria, las redes sociales estallaron haciendo especulaciones y al parecer solo fue una escena y listo, algo que les provocó en el momento y todo continuó igual.

Por último un pacto que no se concretará. Alicent arrepentida busca a Rhaenyra para entregar el reino cuando su hijo quien por cierto cada día está más loco, de él no hablé pero es que su personaje en la primera temporada me gustaba mucho y aquí sacó toda la maldad de su corazón de una manera poco inteligente. Bueno, el caso es que Alicent pacto con Rhaenyra abrir las puertas cuando Aemond no esté y pagar la traición con Aegon “hijo por hijo” con tal de irse en paz con Helaena. Pacto que no se llevará a cabo porque vimos que Aegon se fue, entonces podemos esperar que la predicación de Helaena se cumpla en la tercera o cuarta temporada. Amanecerá y veremos.
