The only anime I have seen and that many years ago were Dragon Ball Z and Yu-Gi-0h! And I did not see all the chapters, then when my son was little I also saw a few chapters of Avatar because it was the anime that he liked next to Dragon Ball. Yesterday, looking for a movie to watch on Netflix I came across one whose story interested me and in the trailer they show beautiful images, I liked it because it had action and mystery and I love movies and series where you are looking for something, plus lately I've been interested in Asian productions, although I haven't seen a K-drama yet. That's as far as I've gotten. For all those reasons I decided to spend my time watching Golden Kamuy.
What I didn't know before I started watching it, is that it is a live action of an anime manga. While I was watching it I decided to search the internet for some of the story and that's when I found out, until I had a chance to watch some chapters and I found them excellent, because I realized that the movie was like watching the anime.
Los únicos animes que he visto y eso hace muchos años atrás fueron Dragon Ball Z y Yu-Gi-0h! Y no vi todos los capítulos, luego cuando mi hijo era pequeño también vi unos capítulos de Avatar porque era el anime que le gustaba junto a Dragon Ball. Ayer, buscando una película para ver en Netflix me topé con una el cual la historia que me interesó y en el tráiler se muestran imágenes hermosas, me gustó porque tenía acción y misterio y me encantan las películas y series donde se busca algo, además últimamente me he interesado por las producciones asiáticas, aunque todavía no he visto un K-drama. Hasta ahí no he llegado. Por todas esas razones decidí dedicar mi tiempo en ver Golden Kamuy.
Lo que no sabía antes de empezar a verla, es que es un live action de un anime manga. Mientras la estaba viendo decidí buscar en internet algo de la historia y fue ahí cuando me enteré, hasta me dio chance de ver fragmentos de unos capítulos y me parecieron excelentes, porque me di cuenta que la película era como estar viendo el anime.

The film begins with scenes from the 1904 war between Russia and Japan. Saichi Sugimoto, who is part of the first platoon shows so much bravery and violence against the enemy and despite suffering different wounds, they are not able to cause his death, so he earns the nickname of The Immortal. Two years later, he finds himself in a mountain searching for gold in the company of a man who, upon seeing him disappointed for not finding anything, tells him a story about the mountain, its gold and the native Indian tribe of the area. The story said that the Ainu ethnic group, who in order to defend the area and its gold from the colonizers decide to collect all the gold and hide it. While making the transfer to a safe place they are surprised and betrayed, all of them are killed. The leader of this robbery who currently calls himself Sin Rostro hides the gold but is caught by the police and despite being tortured does not say what he has done with the gold.
In prison this man becomes the boss and prepares the escape of a group of inmates, 24 in total, but before the escape he tattoos on the body of each of the inmates part of the map that leads to the gold. The plan is carried out and the former inmates are released but are separated and are never heard from again. Sugimoto, upon hearing the story, does not believe in tall tales as he calls them, but after the man tries to kill him he realizes that the story is true and decides to go in search of the gold. When he meets Asirpa, a young woman of the Ainu ethnic group who saves him from the clutches of a brown bear, Sugimoto tells Asirpa the story and asks for her help to find the gold, she is interested because her father was killed the day the gold was moved, and she is the one who knows the area where they are going to move. So they begin to work as a team.
They already have a part of the map, because the man who told the story was one of the inmates, so only 23 more parts are missing, while conducting the search they realize that they are not the only ones looking for the gold, because there are also the military of the seventh division looking for the map, as well as one of the inmates who turned out to be a former samurai from when the Shogunate existed. So there is a lot of action in this movie.
La película comienza con escenas de la guerra de 1904 entre Rusia y Japón. Saichi Sugimoto, quién forma parte del primer pelotón demuestra tanta valentía y violencia en contra del enemigo y apresar de sufrir diferentes heridas, estás no logran ocasionarle la muerte, por lo que se gana el apodo de El Inmortal. Dos años después se encuentra en una montaña buscando oro en compañía de un hombre que al verlo decepcionado por no encontrar nada le cuenta una historia sobre la montaña, su oro y la tribu indígena nativa de la zona. La historia decía que la etnia de los Ainu, quienes para defender la zona y su oro de los colonizadores deciden recoger todo el oro y esconderlo. Mientras se hace el traslado a un lugar seguro son sorprendidos y traicionados, todos son asesinados. El jefe de este robo quien en la actualidad se hace llamar Sin Rostro esconde el oro pero es atrapado por la policía y a pesar de ser torturado no dice qué ha hecho con el oro.
En la cárcel este hombre se convierte en el jefe y prepara la fuga de un grupo de reclusos, 24 en total, pero antes de la fuga tatua en el cuerpo de cada uno de los reclusos parte del mapa que dirige al oro. El plan se lleva a cabalidad y los exreclusos quedan libres pero se separan y no sé sabe nada de ellos. Sugimoto, al escuchar la historia, no cree en cuentos chinos, como él mismo lo llama, pero luego de que el hombre trata de asesinarlo se da cuenta que la historia es cierta y decide ir en busca del oro. Cuando conoce a Asirpa una joven de la etnia Ainu que lo salva de las garras de un oso pardo y Sugimoto le cuenta la historia a Asirpa y pide su ayuda para encontrar el oro, ella se muestra interesada ya que su padre fue asesinado el día del traslado del oro, además ella es la que conoce la zona donde se van a mover. Así comienzan a trabajar en equipo.
Ya cuentan con una parte del mapa, por qué el hombre que contó la historia era uno de los reclusos, así que solo faltan 23 partes más, mientras realizan la búsqueda se dan cuenta que no son los únicos buscando el oro, porque también se encuentran los militares de la séptima división buscando el mapa, así como también uno de los reclusos que resultó ser un exsamurái de cuando existía el Shogunato. Así que en esta película hay mucha acción.

Despite not watching anime and not knowing the story before, I liked the way it was handled, because even though it has a bit of comedy, that they use in anime, it is not annoying and that was the reason why I decided to look on the internet, because while I was watching it I noticed the comedy as I just mentioned and also felt a little caricatured characters mainly the villains, although it is not to the extreme of being annoying and that caught my attention. The scenery, the lighting I loved everything looks very neat and well cared for. I really like the use of the blue color in the Ainus' costumes, it makes a beautiful contrast with the snow just as it does in the Avatar: The Legend of Aang series with the water community.
The characters, although I say they have a bit of caricature, also have a depth that makes them real. Sugimoto, like many war veterans, is traumatized by so much violence that has kept him awake at night, he has a promise to keep and that is why he wants to find the gold and at least pay back a little for all the death he has caused. Asirpa, is a young woman who has not yet obtained the marks of her tribe, she is not like other women of her ethnic group dedicated to the things of the home, instead she likes to be in the mountains because she misses her father very much, she also has a protector who does not leave her alone. The captain of the seventh division and the craziest character of the whole story only wants to get a benefit for him and for all those who are sent to war and then are discarded and abandoned as well as the families of those killed in battle. As for the ex-samurai I still can't figure out a reason why he wants to find the gold, maybe it's just ambition to restore the Shogunate, I really don't know, I'm just imagining.
A pesar de no ver animes y de no conocer la historia anteriormente, me gustó la forma en la que fue llevada, porque apesar de que tiene un poco de comedia, de ese que usan en los animes, no resulta ser fastidioso y esa fue la razón por la que decidí buscar en internet, porque mientras la estaba viendo notaba la comedia como lo acabo de mencionar y también se sentía un poco caricaturescos los personajes principalmente los villanos, aunque no es al extremo de ser fastidioso y eso me llamó la atención. Los paisajes, la iluminación me encantaron todo se ve muy prolijo y bien cuidado. Me gusta mucho el uso del color azul en el vestuario de los Ainus, hace un contraste hermoso con la nieve al igual que pasa en la serie de Avatar: La Leyenda de Aang con la comunidad agua.
Los personajes aunque digo que tienen un poco de caricatura, también tienen una profundidad que los hace reales. Sugimoto como muchos veteranos de guerras, se encuentra traumado por tanta violencia vivida que no lo deja dormir en paz, tiene una promesa que cumplir y por eso quiere encontrar el oro y al menos retribuir un poco por toda la muerte que ha causado. Asirpa, es una joven que todavía no obtiene las marcas de su tribu, no es como otras mujeres de su etnia dedicada a las cosas del hogar, en su lugar a ella le gusta estar en la montaña porque extraña mucho su papá, además cuenta con un protector que no la desampara. El capitán de la séptima división y el personaje más loco de toda la historia solo quiere obtener un beneficio para él y para todos aquellos que son enviados a guerra y luego son desechados y abandonados así como los también las familias de los fallecidos en batalla. En cuanto a el exsamurái todavía no logré descifrar una razón por la cual quiere encontrar el oro, tal vez solo es ambición para restaurar el Shogunato, la verdad no se, solo estoy imaginando.

What I did not like is the introduction of the characters, for me it was an unnecessary interruption, especially when it came to the officers of the seventh division, since they all wear the same uniform so it was easy to identify them, as well as the inmates, because it is logical that if you have the body marked with part of the map you are one of the inmates, plus some of them were not going to last long in this part of the story. Because I have not told you that this film does not have an ending, but it is open for a next part or many, because there are 24 inmates and with the ones that our protagonists got, the ones that the captain of the seventh division and the ex-samurai have, I think that they do not reach 10, so there is still a lot left. So all these characters that are introduced in this part of the story will surely be important in the other movies as is the case of officer Ogata who appears for a very short time in this movie but later will have a more important intervention in the story.
If you watch anime or want to start to know this story without the need to see it in comic you can do it this way, although as I said this movie does not have an ending, so you have to wait for the next one to come out to know the rest of the story.
Lo que no me gustó mucho es la presentadera de los personajes, para mí era una interrupción innecesaria, más cuando se trataba de los oficiales de la séptima división, ya que todos llevan el mismo uniforme entonces era fácil identificarlos, así como los reclusos, porque es lógico que si tienes el cuerpo marcado con parte del mapa eres uno de los reclusos, además alguno de ellos no iban a durar mucho en esta parte de la historia. Porque además no les he contado que está película no tiene un final, sino que queda abierta para una siguiente parte o muchas, porque son 24 reclusos y con los que nuestros protagonistas consigueron, los que tiene el capitán de la séptima división y el exsamurái, yo creo que no llegan a 10, así que falta mucho. Entonces todos estos personajes que son presentados en esta parte de la historia seguramente serán parte importante en las otras películas como es el caso del oficial Ogata que sale por muy corto tiempo en esta película pero más adelante tendra una intervención más importante en la historia.
Si eres de ver animes o quieres empezar a conocer esta historia sin necesidad de verla en cómic puedes hacerlo de esta manera, aunque como dije está película no tiene un final, así que hay que esperar que salga la siguiente para conocer el resto de la historia.
Hola amiga, tampoco soy de ver muchos animes y los que poco que he visto han sido muy puntales, donde se necesita de mucha paciencia y de esa manera poder ir entendiendo cada detalle de la misma. Esta que nos compartes es la primera vez que la veo y cuenta con ciertos aspectos que podrían ser de gran impacto, además interesante por todo lo que tiene que pasar y a la vez ir avanzando ante toda esa situación. Hola. Quizás si hubiera sabido que era un live action de un anime, no la hubiera escogido, pero pasó ya la vi y me gustó la historia y las escenas, de verdad que tiene su encanto, me dieron hasta ganas de ver el anime, pero tiene 4 temporadas. Eso es mucho jajaja.
