Snow White Review (ESP/ENG)
Hello people of the internet, this time I will be analyzing Snow White, the Disney original, which is one of my favorite princesses because of its tenderness and simplicity.
Hola gente de internet, en esta ocasión estaré analizando Blanca Nieves, la original de Disney, la cual es de mis princesas preferidas por su ternura y sencillez.
Based on the original tale by the Brothers Grimm published in 1812, the story tells the life of a young princess whose parents are dead and whose wicked stepmother (as it could not be otherwise in these tales) mistreats her and is jealous of her beauty, so she sends the royal hunter to kill her, however he repents and advises her to hide deep in the forest where she finally finds the house of the seven dwarfs.
Basada en el cuento original de los hermanos Grimm publicado en 1812, la historia nos cuenta la vida de una joven princesa cuyos padres han muerto y cuya madrastra malvada (como no podía ser de otra manera en estos cuentos) la maltrata y está celosa de su belleza, así que manda al cazador real a matarla, sin embargo él se arrepiente y le aconseja esconderse en lo profundo del bosque donde finalmente encuentra la casa de los siete enanitos.
Let's start by talking about the cinematography, the art of animation is 100% handmade, hand painted frame by frame, which means months of hard work.
Empezaremos hablando de la fotografía, el arte de la animación es 100% hecho a mano, pintado a mano cuadro a cuadro, lo que significa meses de arduo trabajo.
There are several interesting shots and approaches, part of them we see for example in the scene of Snow White's escape, the trees have terrifying “faces”, and its branches are like fingers that want to catch the princess, the trunks in the water look like crocodiles, but all this, the next second looks as it really is, what we see here is that in the midst of panic while fleeing, after learning that her stepmother wants her dead, Snow White sees the forest (the unknown to her) as a threat, so in the scene of the escape the forest looks threatening, dark and sinister, also the soundtrack and the succession of scenes are increasingly frantic until the denouement where she falls, there is a silence and a ray of light, plus the animals approaching to see how she is.
Hay varios planos y planteamientos interesantes, parte de ellos los vemos por ejemplo en la escena de huída de Blanca Nieves, los arboles tienen "caras" aterradoras, y sus ramas son como dedos que quieren atrapar a la princesa, los troncos en el agua parecen cocodrilos, pero todo esto, al segundo siguiente luce tal cual es realmente, lo que nos plantea aquí la fotografía es que en medio del pánico mientras huye, luego de enterarse de que su madrastra la quiere muerta, Blanca nieves ve el bosque (lo desconocido para ella) como una amenaza, por eso en la escena de la huida el bosque se ve amenazante, oscuro y siniestro, además el soundtrack y la sucesión de escenas son cada vez más frenéticas hasta el desenlace donde ella cae, hay un silencio y un rayo de luz, además de los animales acercándose para ver como está.
Suddenly the forest is no longer dark and threatening, Snow White finds refuge with the animals and begins to familiarize herself with her surroundings and her new life.
De repente el bosque ya no es oscuro y amenazante, Blanca Nieves encuentra refugio en los animales y empieza a familiarizarse con su entorno y su nueva vida.
Another scene whose composition is also sinister but very good, is when the evil queen turns into an old woman to take the poisoned apple to the princess, a pair of vultures stare at her with attention and an evil smile, and then follow her, as if they knew or sensed the outcome that this woman would have. When she dies, they look at everything still smiling, and then fly down to her, keeping that sinister smile (we all know what will happen next).
Otra escena cuya composición también es siniestra pero muy buena, es cuando la reina malvada va convertida en anciana a llevarle la manzana avenenada a la princesa, un par de buitres se quedan mirándola con atención y una sonrisa malvada, para posteriormente seguirla, como si supieran o presintieran el desenlace que tendría esta mujer. Cuando ella muere, ellos lo miran todo aún sonriendo, y posteriormente bajan volando hasta ella manteniendo esa sonrisa siniestra (ya todos sabemos lo que ocurrirá luego)
The story is rather simplistic but you expect something like that from a fairly old tale adapted, it is the typical love story between a prince and a princess, nothing beyond that.
La historia es bastante simplista pero se espera algo así de un cuento bastante antiguo adaptado, es la la típica historia de amor entre un príncipe y una princesa, nada más allá de eso.
In other aspects the film is good but not surprising, the soundtrack is to be expected, very predictable, although also very much in keeping with the scenes.
En otros aspectos la película es buena pero no es sorprendente, el soundtrack es esperable, muy predecible, aunque también muy acorde con las escenas.
Personally I think that a good live action version of this classic would be to take this same story and add more dialogue to develop the characters (which in this original movie are flatter than a board) and the rest should be left the same, because except for this fact, the movie is very good, especially for the time in which it was made.
Personalmente pienso que una buena versión live action de este clásico sería tomar esta misma historia y agregarle más diálogos para desarrollar más a los personajes (los cuales en esta película original son más planos que una tabla) y del resto deberían dejarlo todo igual, ya que salvo por este hecho, la película es muy buena, sobre todo para la época en que fue hecha.

Particularmente recuerdo cuando la vi en el cine y la escena donde muere puede verse a los enanos que la han aventado por un barranco, creo que es así. En esta película animada, el personaje sufre en algunas escenas porque ve como el bosque se torna siniestro mientras huye. Siempre han hablado de lo siniestro que es Blanca Nieves y algunos de esos aspectos los has mencionado en tu descripción. Saludos.
realmente ella sube a la cima de una montaña e intenta arrojarles una roca enorme a los enanos que la persiguen y el piso se rompe y ella cae (no fue culpa de los enanos) haha pero sí, antes Disney tenía buen ojo crítico para el arte
