Films I'm interested in seeing in the cinema (ENG/SPA)
Hello, Internet people, all good? Today I want to make a short post telling you about the horror and suspense movies that have caught my attention, which are currently in theaters.
Hola, gente de Internet ¿todo bien? Hoy quiero hacer un post breve contándole sobre las películas de terror y suspenso que han llamado mi atención, las cuales están actualmente en cartelera.
Of the three, it's the one that least catches my attention, however, I think it may have potential (however, there are times when the trailer for a certain film is very good and the film itself is not, so my expectations are always low). Analysing the trailer, I think it's like ‘Final Destination’ but instead of death, it's demonic tarot characters.
De las tres es la que menos llama mi atención, sin embargo, creo que puede tener potencial (sin embargo hay veces en las que el tráiler de determinada película es muy bueno y la película en sí no lo es, por eso mis expectativas siempre están bajas) analizando el trailer, creo que es como "Destino Final" pero en vez de la muerte, son personajes demoniacos del tarot.
A group of university students decide to consult the tarot among themselves with a ‘foreign’ pack of cards that does not belong to them, because of this a curse falls on them where one by one they are besieged and killed by the spectres of their cards.
Un grupo de universitarios deciden consultar el tarot entre sí con un mazo de cartas "ajeno" es decir que no les pertenece, debido a esto sobre ellos cae una maldición donde uno a uno es asediado y asesinado por los espectros de sus cartas.
I think it has an interesting premise and the handling of the horror is well done. As you can see in the trailer the lighting and shadows are very good, the same with the cinematography, now we'll have to see it complete to see if the story, script and dialogues are up to par :3
Creo que tiene un premisa interesante y al parecer el manejo del terror está bien hecho. Según se puede ver en el tráiler que la iluminación y las sombras están muy bien, lo mismo con la fotografía, ahora tendremos que verla completa a ver si la historia, guion y dialogos están a la altura :3
I think killers with creepy masks always cause terror, the truth is that although it is somewhat ‘repetitive’ the handling of terror that this film seems to have looks pretty decent, the soundtrack (at least what can be heard is good) the same with the cinematography, I'm quite excited to see if the other aspects of the film are equally attractive.
Creo que los asesinos con máscaras escalofriantes siempre causan terror, la verdad aunque es algo "repetitivo" el manejo del terror que parece tener esta película se ve bastante decente, el soundtrack (al menos lo que puede oírse es bueno) lo mismo con la fotografía, me entusiasma bastante ver si los demás aspectos de la película son igual de atractivos.
A husband and wife take a holiday in a rural village in an idyllic cabin in the middle of the woods, but at night they are visited by three strangers who besiege them with the intention of killing them, so they must find a way to escape while wondering why.
Un par de esposos toman unas vacaciones en un pueblo rural en una cabaña idílica en mitad del bosque, sin embargo por la noche reciben la visita de tres personas extrañas que los asedian con la intención de matarlos,. así que ambos deben hallar la forma de escapar mientras se preguntan el por que de la situación.
This is the one I am most excited about because it is by M. Night Shyamalan and he along with James Wan are my favourite directors and screenwriters, as some may know he specializes in plot twists, so I expect this from this film, the best thing is that although you know a plot twist is coming, you never know exactly where it will come from, so the anticipation is maintained, I trust this director a lot so this time my expectations are very high. The elements of the film look very well crafted and although we can't comment on the story, script or dialogue, I'm confident that they will be good.
Esta es la que más me entusiasma debido a que es de M. Night Shyamalan y él junto con James Wan son mis directores y guionistas preferidos, como algunos sabrán él se especializa en giros de trama, así que espero esto de esta película, lo mejor es que aunque sabes que vendrá un giro de trama, nunca sabes exactamente por donde vendrá, por lo tanto la expectación se mantiene, confío mucho en este director, así que esta vez si que mis expectativas están muy altas. Los elementos de la película se ven muy bien trabajados y aunque no podemos opinar sobre la historia, guion o dialogos confío en que estarán bien.
A girl goes on a trip and halfway down the road both her car and phone stop working so she gets out in the middle of the woods (we don't know in what context ‘cause the trailer doesn't justify it) and when she turns around her car is gone and out of nowhere a lady appears behind a door who tells her she has 5 seconds to get in. It turns out that ‘something or a set of something’ is watching them (there are several people inside the enclosure) so our protagonist manages to devise a plan and escape.
Una chica se va de viaje y a mitad de la carretera tanto su auto como teléfono dejan de funcionar, así que se baja en mitad del bosque (no sabemos en que contexto porque el tráiler no lo justifica) y al darse la vuelta su auto no está, y de la nada aparece una señora tras una puerta que le dice que tiene 5 segundos para entrar. Resulta que "algo o un conjunto de algo" los observa (hay varias personas dentro del recinto) así que nuestra protagonista se las ingenia para trazar un plan para poder escapar

E una muy interesante selección, de todas las que mencionaste creo que me llaman más la atención Tarot y Observados, sobre todo esta última porque sobre todo porque está dirigida por la higa de Shyamalan, quien ya sabemos que nos ofrece unos giros de trama muy interesantes.
