CineTV Contest: My favorite alien movie... Signs (ENG/SPA)

Hola, gente de Internet, en esta ocasión les quiero hablar de mi película preferida de Extraterrestres, la cual es Señales. Este es un concurso de Cine Tv, a continuación les dejaré el link para que participen si así lo quieren:
The contest tries to talk about the alien movie that we like the most, in my case it is this one. A horror and suspense film that in my opinion has aged quite well and handles terror in a gradual and sublime way.
El concurso trata de hablar sobre la película de extraterrestres que más nos guste, en mi caso es esta. Una película de terror y suspenso que a mi parecer ha envejecido bastante bien y maneja el terror de manera gradual y sublime.
Graham is a widowed father who, with the help of his younger brother takes care of his children on a farm in Pennsylvania. As time goes by, in the fields of the state the grass, cornfields and others appear cut to the millimeter, forming some kind of signs. (hence the name of the film) Graham's farm is no exception and from this fact, they begin to be besieged by unknown beings.
Graham es un padre viudo que con ayuda de su hermano menor cuida de sus hijos en una granja en Pensilvania, a medida que pasa el tiempo, en los campos del estado, el césped, maizales y demás aparecen cortados milimétricamente formando unas especies de señales (de ahí el nombre de la película) la granja de Graham no es la excepción y a partir de este hecho empiezan a ser asediados por seres desconocidos.
Clearly there will be spoilers (if it can be considered a spoiler in the case of such an old film) because to explain why I like it and why I chose it for the contest I must talk about the most important aspects of the film's history, and yes, in addition to the characteristics that always matter to me in films such as cinematography, dynamism, etc., the story is what I like the most in this case.
Claramente habrá spoilers (si se puede considerar spoiler tratándose de una película tan vieja) porque para explicar porqué me gusta y porqué la escogí para el concurso debo hablar de los aspectos más importantes de la historia de la película, y es que sí, además de las características que siempre me importan de las películas como la fotografía, dinamismo, etc, la historia es lo que en este caso me gusta más.
I don't know if it's the first movie of this genre to actually use signs in the cornfields, or this was the pioneer of what is now a cliché, but I think it was the first of its kind, so it seems like a very good bet. It is creative to use this type of signals to transmit fear, confusion and uncertainty in the characters, as well as in the viewer, in addition to the fact that we later know that it is the alien ships that make these patterns when landing and positioning themselves on the ground, it is a good explanation and full of sense that solves the mystery.
Ignoro si es la primera película de este género en precisamente usar señales en los maizales, o esta fue la pionera de lo que hoy en día es un cliché, pero creo que fue la primera de este tipo, así que me parece una apuesta muy creativa utilizar este tipo de señales para transmitir miedo, confusión e incertidumbre en los personajes, así como también en el espectador, además el hecho de que luego sepamos que son las naves alienígenas las que hacen estos patrones al aterrizar y posicionarse en el suelo, es una buena explicación y llena de sentido que resuelve el misterio.
The alien invasion is perpetrated by the so-called "Greys" beings from another world that generally cause the abductions of human beings for their study (I don't know what would be great about us, really). In the movie their function is the same, if we pay attention to all the signs, we understand that these aliens came to harvest humans but since we are made up of a lot of water (a corrosive compound for them) they decided to leave us alone and retire.
La invasión alienígena es perpetrada por los llamados "Grises" seres de otro mundo que por lo general causan las abducciones de seres humanos para su estudio (que no sé que tendríamos de genial nosotros la verdad). En la película su función es la misma, si prestamos atención a todas las señales, entendemos que estos extraterrestres vinieron a cosechar humanos, pero nosotros, al estar compuestos por mucha agua (un compuesto corrosivo para ellos) decidieron dejarnos en paz y retirarse.
In the case of Grays, of course I would not like to meet any of these in real life since they pose a danger to any species alien to them and they are also quite frightening in appearance
Tratándose de Grises, claro que no me gustaría conocer a ninguno de estos en la vida real, ya que suponen un peligro para cualquier especie ajena a ellos y además son bastante atemorizantes también en su aspecto.
Although in terms of effects it hasn't aged too well, it's still a movie that meets our expectations. The suspense is present throughout the film, plus the shots in thirds make us want to see more (the alien reflected in the glass of water or on the television) until finally they give us the close-up of the alien and with that we are more than happy, satisfied even if the shot lasts a few seconds. I feel that it is one of the best films of the genre (at least if we talk about classics) and it is for all these reasons that I decided to choose it for this contest.
Aunque en cuanto a efectos no envejeció demasiado bien que digamos, sigue siendo una película que cumple con nuestras expectativas. El suspenso está presente en toda la película, además los planos en tercios nos hacen querer ver más (el extraterrestre reflejado en el vaso con agua o en el televisor) hasta que al fin nos dan el primer plano del extraterrestre, y con eso estamos más que satisfechos, aunque el plano dure unos pocos segundos. Siento que es una de las mejores películas del género (al menos si hablamos de clásicos) y es por todas estas razones que decidí escogerla para este concurso.

Hola @bethyjade , Estoy de acuerdo contigo Señales tambien es mi preferida, es hasta los momentos la película que me ha causado mas miedo a los extraterrestres, sabes la vi en tres partes, me causaba pánico, muy buena actuación de Mel Gibson, Joaquin Phoenix y los niños Rory Culkin y Abigail Breslin. Bien por tu reseña.
