This film was recommended to me by my daughter, she insisted on the subject because she was actually confused and dissatisfied with the ending but beware, only with the ending, she really liked the plot and did not want to be left incomplete ha,ha,ha,ha.

Well, besides everything, my daughter was convinced that my point of view would clear her doubts. The theme of the film is linked to my profession and therefore, perhaps for me it was easier to understand. Psychological thrillers are never easy to understand or many of them have greater complexities.

Este film me lo recomienda mi hija, ella insistió en el tema porque en realidad quedó confusa e inconforme con el final pero ojo, solo con el final, realmente le gustó mucho la trama y no quiso quedar incompleta ja,ja,ja.

Bien, además de todo, mi hija estaba convencida que mi punto de vista la sacaría de dudas. El tema de la película se vincula con mi profesión y por ende, quizá para mi era más fácil comprender. Los trhiller psicológicos nunca son fáciles de comprender o muchos de ellos tienen mayores complejidades.

In The Teacher's Lounge, a conflict is triggered by a series of thefts that occur within the educational institution and specifically within the classroom of teacher Carla Nowak, a math and sports specialist.

I am impressed with myself because I realize how much a teacher knows or gets to know about her students and in general what their needs may be.

During the first part of the film I knew that this was a group of students with emotional deficiencies and rebelliousness. The teacher Carla is very good at applying methodological strategies to keep the group active and motivated. Still, something said that all was not well.

En La Sala de Profesores se detona un conflicto por una serie de robos que se producen dentro de la institución educativa y específicamente dentro del salón de clase de la maestra Carla Nowak, especialista en matemáticas y deporte.

Me impresiono conmigo misma porque me doy cuenta lo mucho que un docente conoce o logra conocer sobre sus estudiante y de manera general cuáles pueden ser sus necesidades.

Durante la primera parte del film supe que se trataba de un grupo estudiantil con carencias afectivas y rebeldías. La maestra Carla es muy buena aplicando estrategias metodológicas para mantener activo y motivado al grupo. Aún así, algo decía que no todo estaba bien.

I wondered during the shooting if the film raises some kind of social demand. Educational systems are still closed, moralistic and prejudiced models. That is my point of view.

Based on the above premise, teacher Carla Nowak, in her efforts to learn the truth about the thefts in her classroom, summons some representatives. There she becomes aware of the family violence that some children have to deal with and implicitly shows concern.

It is normal when a teacher shows a desire to help her students. Those who have a vocation show it in different ways. "Not even with the petal of a rose".

Me preguntaba durante el rodaje si la película plantea algún tipo de demanda social. Los Sistemas Educativos sigue siendo modelos cerrados, moralistas y de muchos perjuicios. Es mi punto de vista.

Con base a la anterior premisa, la maestra Carla Nowak, en su empeño de conocer la verdad sobre los robos en su salón de clase cita a unos representantes. Allí se da cuenta de la violencia familiar con la que deben lidiar algunos niños y de manera implícita muestra preocupación.

Es normal cuando una docente muestra deseo de ayudar a los alumnos. Quien tiene vocación lo demuestra de diferentes manera. "A los niños ni con el pétalo de una rosa".

Why blame the children and not an adult, administrative staff or teachers? For example.

Well, the teacher had another idea, to set up a trap to find out who was really responsible for the theft. Her idea was to record with her laptop. Was it a good idea? What do you say?

From the legal point of view, this action of the teacher Carla Nowak is not correct. The matter is quite delicate and her role is not exactly to investigate crimes and she had everything to lose. From that moment on I knew the big problem created by the teacher and I was sure it would not end well.

¿Por qué culpar a los niños y no a un adulto, al personal administrativo o docentes? Por ejemplo.

Bueno, la maestra tuvo otra idea, montar una trampa para descubrir al verdadero responsable de los robos. Su idea fue grabar con su computadora portátil. ¿Fue buena idea? ¿Qué dicen ustedes?

Desde el punto de vista legal, esta acción de la maestra Carla Nowak no es correcta. El asunto es bastante delicado y su rol no es precisamente investigar delitos ya por ahí llevaba todas la de perder. Desde ese momento supe el gran problema creado por la maestra y estuve segura que no terminaría bien.

Having evidence and discovering the person who perpetrated the thefts complicates things even more. In addition to being a school staff member, he was also a representative of one of his students.

Oskar is the boy in the class with more problems than others. A quiet child, repressed, abused, teased... not only within the class, at the family level his problems are notorious.

As I have said before, we teachers empathize so much with the students that we can easily feel their conflicts. Oskar lived alone with his mother, a woman with strange behaviors and a kleptomaniac by the way. It is she who commits the thefts and when she is discovered she acts unexpectedly.

Al tener evidencia y descubrir a la persona que perpetraba los robos se complica aún más. Además de tratarse de un personal de la escuela, también era representante de unos de sus alumnos.

Oskar, es el niño de la clase con más problemas que otros. Un niño callado, reprimido, abusado, burlado... no sólo dentro de la clase, a nivel familiar sus problemas son notorios.

Tal y como lo he dicho antes, los docentes empatizamos tanto con los alumnos que a leguas notamos sus conflictos. Oskar vivía solo con su madre, una mujer con conductas extraña y de paso cleptómana. Es ella quien comete los robos y al ser descubierta actúa de manera inesperada.

Obviously, the mother's attitude has an impact on the child and although the teacher tries to find a solution to the problem, it is too late, there is no way to reverse the damage, neither with the child, nor with her students, nor with the rest of the representatives.

What the teacher did manage to do was to give Oskar a powerful tool to solve his problems and at the end of the plot, the unexpected twist leaves us with our jaw on the floor.

I don't want to make spoilers but you already know that the teacher's decision to find the culprit was not a good idea and this decision only generates conflicts affecting one student in particular. Hence, the teacher's peace of mind is also disturbed and the theme becomes interesting.

Obviamente, la actitud de la madre impacta sobre el niño y aunque la maestra trata de buscar solución al problema ya es tarde, no hay forma de revertir el daño ni con el niño, ni con sus alumnos, ni tampoco con el resto de representantes.

Lo que sí logró la maestra fue darle una herramienta poderosa a Oskar para solucionar sus problemas y al final de la trama, el giro inesperado nos deja con la quijada en el piso.

No quiero hacer spoiler pero ya saben que la decisión de la maestra para hallar al culpable no fue buena idea y a partir de esta decisión solo se generan conflictos afectando a un alumno en particular. Por ende, la tranquilidad de la maestra también se perturba y el tema se vuelve interesante.
