The Continental is worth a watch
If you're a John Wick fan then you should check out The Continental. The series takes a trip down memory land as it chronicles some events of the past.
The Continental is the popular hotel where killers reside in the John Wick universe. This series goes back to the 1970s and follows how Winston ascended to becoming the manager of the Continental.
I'm not going to lie, I didn't have a lot of expectations at the start but the series really grows on you. I guess it was easy because they started with an exquisite fight scene.
Impression
There are only three episodes that are 80 minutes or longer. Each one is honestly good enough to be a standalone movie.
Honestly speaking, squeezing in everything into three episodes deserves plaudits. Any other producer would have stretched it out unnecessarily to like 50 episodes and five seasons.
It's a series but it really keeps you glued to your screen. From start to finish, there's always something happening. You literally never get bored.
It's also cool how they managed to squeeze all the character backgrounds into the plot. In the midst of all the action and adventure, each character's personality is subtly built up to give you an idea of why they act the way they do.
Since it is from John Wick Universe it also has the underlying traits of the movie. So, yeah, a lot of contracts killers, lots of violence and lots of killing.
If you don't have the stomach for John Wick then you shouldn't watch this one. However, if you're about thrill, gun violence and all round badassery in movies, then I highly recommend.
Great series! If you like John Wick you'll love it! They chose the right guy for the villain, Mel Gibson delivered!
If this is from John Wick then it must be good. Thank you for the recommendation.
I have seen the first two episodes and its good, but its not John Wick good :D
I thought it was a great idea to expand the jhon wick universe. Four movies aren't enough? Yes, but when something is good you can get more out of it, I have this one pending.
Nice, I thought they were going to fail in bringing the john wick action to the small screen, but I see they got it right. I will see it soon.
