🎬️ TV series: Earth Abides (2024) 🎬️

Hi everyone, following up with a new TV series as this one reminded me of the series "From" I wrote about last time. This was something I came across randomly while searching for new series in December. A post-apocalyptic miniseries based on George R. Stewart's classic 1949 novel.😃

The series follows Ish, played by Alexander Ludwig, a geology student who wakes up from a coma to discover that a deadly pandemic has wiped out most of humanity. He starts by searching through the desolate ruins of civilization, and the series explores his physical and emotional journey as he searches for other survivors. He meets Emma, ​​played by Jessica Frances Dukes, and together they begin to build a new society. Where they must find ways to survive and how they deal with unexpected challenges that strangers encounter over the years. The series offers what it's like to live during the end of the world, and deals with themes such as isolation, resilience and the need for human connection. The acting performances are okay, but I miss more action and excitement. The idea is good so this could have been much better. The series is visually good and manages to capture the desolate beauty of a post-apocalyptic world. I would say it is a must-watch for fans of character-driven post-apocalyptic dramas. But something is missing so it gets a 7.
