🎬️ Movie: The Colony from 2013 🎬️

Time for something "old" and unknown, at least for me. Came across this by chance and thought it seemed interesting from what I read quickly. A post-apocalyptic sci fi thriller from 2013 and directed by Jeff Renfroe.😃

The film takes place in the year 2045 and a new ice age has come which has forced humanity underground. There we follow a group of survivors in Colony 7 led by Briggs played by Laurence Fishburne. They receive a distress signal from another colony and decide to investigate this and embark on an expedition. Here I thought a solid performance was delivered by Laurence Fishburne as the brave and wise leader, and otherwise quite okay by the other actors such as Bill Paxton and Kevin Zegers. Visually, the film is good, nothing spectacular for me. Otherwise, there is an intense atmosphere and threats from both nature and others. A perfectly decent film if you want to see an action packed post apocalyptic thriller so I give this a strong 6.
