🎬️ Movie: Léon: The Professional from 1994 🎬️
Have you seen it? A classic, I love it. I've probably seen it 5-6 times and it's just as good every time, a well-executed film. I wanted to see something "old" haha. And with actors such as Jean Reno, Natalie Portman and Gary Oldman, you just have to find popcorn.😃
Directed by Luc Besson, Léon is a gripping and emotional thriller with action and a well-written script with deep character development. We follow a lonely assassin Léon played by Jean Reno who lives in New York, a man with a strict code and a soft heart. His routine life is turned upside down when he meets Mathilda played by Natalie Portman, a twelve-year-old girl who experiences having her family murdered by a corrupt DEA agent named Stansfield, played by Gary Oldman. His intense acting and unpredictable actions give the film an extra dimension of danger and I really like Natalie Portman in this role, this was also her debut role. This trio of actors is just a delight, all deliver memorable performances in my "wall of film" hehe.
A masterful blend of action and drama, gripping story that explores loneliness, revenge and unexpected friendship. I just love this movie! So many cool scenes and stylish directing, this is a strong 9 for me for sure, maybe it should be a 10?
