🎬️ Movie: Gladiator 2 (2024) 🎬️

Hello everyone, time for a new movie this time Gladiator 2, the sequel to Ridley Scott's masterpiece from 2000. I came across it by chance, so I have to watch it since I really liked the first one.😃

In the movie we travel back to ancient Rome about 20 years after the events of the first movie. Here we follow Lucius Verus played by Paul Mescal, after his home is conquered by the Romans he has to fight for his survival in the Colosseum. Here there are impressive fight scenes and Denzel Washington delivers well in the role of Macrinus, a smart gladiator trainer who sees the potential in Lucius and wants to use this to his advantage. The acting performances are good but the movie struggles to live up to the original and the plot can seem predictable. But the movie provided good entertainment with plenty of action and drama. For me this is a weak 7.
